Philly has done well putting their picks on the court and in positions to inflate value early in their RSCs, too. Shamet, Shake, Thybulle, Maxey. They've been lucky that all have delivered enough to keep their value propped up for a bit.

I suppose it helps when you don't have the bad luck of all your prospects being injury riddled at once.

i wanted him too. But no, we ended up with Justin Jackson and Melvin Frazier

Weltman and Hammond were just playin 12-D chess on investments 5 years from now when they’ll be working for Sacramento instead.

I wonder if Alex Martins is now pressuring Weham into a boneheaded move?

Nobody has to pressure you ... if you are GM for 4 years and your record goes like this:
25-57
42-40
33-40
...pace for 25-47

it comes naturally. It's second year in a row with declining record, while peaking at 1 win over. 500.
In mean time, making playoffs only because you are on East and being first round exit team.

Trade for established star is only logical path toward escaping getting fired / not getting exstension. Problem is, nobody wants to come to this team and assets to make such trade aren't there. That's how Hennigan got himself fired.

My point is this reeks of desperation. Lonzo Ball? Seriously? :banghead:
