Big Board from SI about IQ (https://www.si.com/nba/2020/09/16/2020-nba-draft-big-board-updated-top-80-rankings)

37. Immanuel Quickley, SG, Kentucky | Sophomore

Height: 6' 3" | Weight: 190 | Age: 21 | Last Rank: 37

Quickley made a huge leap from his freshman to sophomore year, working himself into a steady player who defends the perimeter, can hit open shots and doesn’t have a glaring hope in his game. He’s not creative offensively and relies a good bit on drawing contact, and also isn’t a high-end athlete, which creates some questions as to what he hangs his hat on beyond catching and shooting in the pros. Quickly also isn’t a particularly inventive passer, and he’ll need to pair with a playmaking guard for best results. But he has a chance to be a low-maintenance role player who adds some value on both ends of the floor, and he’s a solid option in this part of the draft.

39 -Elite shooter with a high basketball IQ, but lacks ideal passing skills for a guard his size.

SHADES OF: Ben Gordon, B.J. Armstrong, Jeff Hornacek
PLUSES
Knockdown shooter who hit 40 percent of his 3s and 90 percent of his free throws in two seasons at Kentucky. He has a lightning-quick release off the catch.

Excellent shooting off screens by creating separation through deceptive, change-of-pace moves.
Potent off the dribble. With a speedy first step, he’s easily able to create space for one- or two-dribble pull-up jumpers.
Team player who swings the ball. He’s not a primary ball handler, but he understands his role and plays it well.
Undersized, but has a 6-foot-10 wingspan that made him into an elite defender in college; in the NBA, he projects as a plus defender, at minimum.
Competes on both ends. He rebounds well for a smaller guy and he’ll battle against bigger players. He accepted his role at Kentucky and excelled.

MINUSES
Poor finisher at the rim; he lacks verticality, an off hand, and a sense for using touch.
Lacks playmaking chops; he’s a reactive passer, not a creator. And though he can handle, he’s not breaking down NBA defenders.
Despite his length, he still lacks pure size and strength, which will limit his versatility against bigger wings and as an impact off-ball defender.

The Ringer is a good one.

Not expecting an answer but did wonder today, when was the last time a Knick PG got 30 in a game. I can't think of anything recent.

Mudiay actually had 3 30 point games in December 2018. I understand if you’ve blotted this meaningless season from memory

I trust buzz. His negativity has paid off. It will for Obi too.

If he's starting for team usa without having dropped 15, his other stats mustve amazing enough to make rodman blush.

Quickly’s rookie season so far is awfully similar to Jamal Murray’s.

Jamal: 9.9 - 2.6 - 2.1 on 8.9 FGA (4.2 3PT) 21min
IQ: 11 - 2.6 - 1.8 on 8.9 FGA (3.9 3PT) 17min

What’s interesting is that while neither is a true PG both certainly possess some basic P&R abilities.

Jamal took a big leap his 2nd year averaging 16.7-3.4-3.7 on 13 FGA (5.4 3PT) in 32min.

If IQ plays around 18-20 min his rookie year and jumps to damn near 32min in his 2nd his numbers once again should be eerily similar to Murray.

I took note of the number of votes as soon as he scored the 31 and it's interesting how another 6 votes came in after all of them for January..... I wonder how they came to that conclusion...
