Yeah and I don't think it's just because his matchup was Kanter tonight who swallowed every board in existence. Roby's 6'8" and not the most aggressive/explosive in those situations. I think he mostly does what he's coached to do though which is to get his body on someone and try to box out as much as he can. Though he still slips up now and then and ball watches once the shot goes up. I think for him to grow into a starting caliber player on a winning team he's either gotta get much better defensively/on the glass or learn the skills necessary to play at a forward position next to a legit rim protecting center.

I like Roby but I don't think he will be a starter player in this league. Guess most will disagree since most OKC fans love him...

I think Roby needs to play the four but they are trying not to cut in to either players development between he and bazley. Roby is definitely a rotational piece. Whether or not he’s a starter depends on the pieces around him. Every starting lineup needs a glue guy or two. Maybe he can improve defensively and carve out a PJ Tucker roll. He’s definitely not too old to get better.
