I doubt it. They could use another shooter though.

At this point though it seems like no amount of shooting will generate enough space for Ben Simmons. :o

First game I watched all year and it was only the first quarter and a half. Wow Blake looks awful. Slow. Horrible defense. His knees must be shot.

Wright’s best game of the year.

Ellington kept his shooting % super-high

Grant played well.

Even Plumlee was efficient.

Blake was still bad, but that’s to be expected at this point.

Bench was pretty bad tonight. Sekou was the best off our bench

I don’t see them winning it all with Simmons and Embiid. One of them has to go.

Shooting is SO important in this league - look what Milwaukee has done against us. To have five shooters out there (our four plus your stud) is paramount

Agreed. That ain't a flagrant if not for that initial tech, which I really didn't understand in the first place. It sucks that there's probably no poster who was at the game who might've heard what was being said.

Philly would be a prime landing spot for Ellington.

Ellington/Okafor

For

Ferguson (end of bench expiring) and a pick??

I knew the Pistons would win this game once Embiid was declared out, the Sixers are poop without him and the Pistons were loooong overdue for a win like this after so many close losses.

Ellington is on a crazy shooting streak right now. 30 threes in his last 6 games, 5 or more in 5 straight games, shot over 60% from three in 5 of them and 45% in the 6th game. He's always been a streaky shooter but this is some kind of roll he's on. Too bad he wasn't doing this leading up to the deadline, MIGHT have been able to squeeze out a 2nd from a contender like... Philly for instance.

I think the biggest takeaway is what in the world do you do with Blake? He's done for. He's basically a back up for fifteen minutes, twenty five if he hits the youth button. He understands the game so well you wonder if Pistons shouldn't move him more to a player coach - more coach, less player.

For this game, blake at 25 minutes and sekou at 17 with grant swinging over to pf a bit. I hope that is what we continue to see. The plumlee/stewart minutes split looks good too. Just need to get Casey to make that move in the backcourt too, but it's hard with Hayes out and Ellington shooting like this.

Yeah you really get a sense there’s some context missing there.

Still, Josh needs to be better at keeping his cool. His emotions aren’t helping him out there, and I’m not just talking about that play.
