He looked good. Finally had a meaningful and good game. Let's hope it contines. The timing is right too. PP is out, Carson doesn't really need the minutes-harsh I guess, and Grant has fallen out of the rotation. Nesmith looks to have a real shot to play over the next phase of the season.

Nesmith has a smooth, effortless 3pt stroke. I have incredibly high confidence that he's going to be a good NBA specialist at minimum. The big question is can he develop a well-rounded game.

Promote away! I can only take partial credit if I'm being honest. I thought of it last night after I logged off and then this morning I glanced at Celtics Reddit and they were already calling him 3-Smith.

Also his charge (the one time he took it to the hoop) was probably called correctly but given Young's last-second square-up could have been an "and 1" if we were at home, in the playoffs, with the crowd going wild:)

He's going to be behind Jaylen Brown in the rotation for many years, so I'd be more than happy if he ends up just being a lethal 3-point specialist.

I think Nesmith is going to be the Celtics "Terrence Ross" type player in a few years. Come off the bench and score 13-17 ppg, rebound and play defense.

I’ve been lobbying for Nesmith to get some minutes with Brown and Tatum and last night it happened. It gave him more space and I think it gave him more of a sense of having a defined role. As the “other” rookie on the team, I think Nesmith realized that he has to step up the way Pritchard stepped up. His minutes were very meaningful last night and playing with Brown and Tatum does mask some of his defensive issues right now. Very happy to see him gaining confidence.

Nesmith looked like James Young in his first appearances. He has made significant progress defensively. Once again, I have nothing but the highest praise for the work Brad Stevens and his staff do in developing young talent. It is not out of the question that he could be in the regular rotation by the playoffs if he continues this trajectory.

So many great developments this season. Tatum as an all around player. Brown becoming an all star and perhaps all NBA talent. Kemba bouncing back to 100%. RW becoming a contributor. Pritchard looking like a steal. Ojeleye becoming steadier. Even Carson Edwards and Tacko are showing improvement.

Happy to see some threes go down but still seems like he has somewhat of a slower release than you’d like from a three point specialist. Might just be me but seems concerning going forward. But doesn’t matter if it’s going in lol I won’t complain

If Nesmith develops into a really good player you could easily start him at the 2 with JB/JT at the forward spots. Boston essentially plays a guard/big/3 weeks anyway most of the time.

I don't really see the comp. Perhaps in a few years. I think Nesmith's ceiling is a Kris Middleton type. Ross isn't a great shooter. He's a great shooter some nights, as he's a streaky as can be, but he vanishes other nights.

In addition to that I'd say Theis as of late looks really comfortable in his own skin. He looks awesome the past couple weeks.

you never know. Although it's probably a safer bet to project Pritch as a rock solid career reserve
