How would you fill out the roster?

I’d love becomes available I suspect he will go play with his buddy with the lakers

The Lakers have a stacked frontcourt already, and Love has a buddy on the Nets as well

They can bring him off the bench and play him big minutes at PF with Davis at center or go small with him as a center

They have Davis, Gasol and Harrell all performing at a higher level than Love currently. They have to get minutes for Kuzma since they recently extended him, and they like what they get out of Morris in spot minutes. If that weren't enough, they often close out games with James at the 4 and AD at the 5. There no room on their roster or role in their rotation for K Love.

The biggest thing is that Love still has over $60mil guaranteed on his contract over the next two seasons after this one. I think that talk of him accepting a buyout is overblown, to say the least.

I don't think the Lakers will be a player in the buyout market this season. If they are it means they probably traded a few role players for an upgrade somewhere.

Buyout market will belong to the Nets as it's clear the Nets are still at least 2 legit rotation players short. Marks has quite a few tools to play with so let's see what he concocts up

Best case scenario for Nets - Drummond and PJ Tucker to fill out the roster. Just plain unfair but it makes sense. Drummond is Kyries guy and Tucker is Hardens, Cavs and Rockets all want to go young and who doesn't want to save money.

At this point the league is just KD vs Klutch.

Drummond is big time empty stats who has historically had minimal impact on both sides of the ball, but the guy gets rebounds, and I think in his proper role as like a 4th option on offense that is mainly used as a lob/roll threat and actually focuses on defense, he can be a very good contributor. Which is why I think he’s had zero value in places like Detroit and Cleveland, but could be extremely helpful for us.

All about fit, Dwight Howard was poisonous on bad young teams but extremely valuable on a Lakers team playing his role alongside Lebron and AD.

Drummond will be a roided up version of last season's Dwight if he suits up in black and white, god save the league.

Biggest disappointment of the season by far. And we have years left on his contract.

Absolutely can't sell low or give up on Shamet, given his past this is likely just a monumental slump that he needs to shoot his way out of.

Case in point see KCP on the Lakers who shot his way out of a year long slump to win the Lakers the title. Shamet is a better shooter than KCP and he will be straight filthy playing off the big 3 once he gets his confidence back.

I agree with all of this... and frankly, id rather have mcgee, who is in my mind a better defender and has played a role before.

Drummond to me is a guy who wants to score, thinks he is better then he is, and isnt super interested in playing defense. rebounding monter, but hate the fit.

the last time i saw ariza he was looking pretty bummy. i think we need younger more athletic wings. id rather RHJ and punt on shooting then watch ariza disappoint me for a month before TLC gets his minutes.

I wouldnt be so sure he would. He isnt a bigman who scores a ton off pick and roll, or lobs, or feed or transition. he needs touches. he is accustom to 25-30% usage, post ups, baseline isos. i mean he would give more then jordan on pure points because of his offensive rebound work, but i dont think he would make us better offensively then jordan who is a real PNR threat.

I think drummond would feast on second units, but we dont fix defense with him either. id obviouslly take him. he is 10000 times better then perry and fixes rebounds anytime he is on the floor. but id prefer mcgee and maybe dedmon to him
