Anyone sold on Corey Kispert? I seen a couple mock drafts having us selecting him with the Mavs pics. Do you think his shooting will translate? What about his defense?

The shooting should translate, but I dunno if the rest of his game does...and I'm not sure I see much difference between him & Wagner as prospects.

Saw a scouting report indicating he's the real deal. We need shooting. If we pick 8-12 or so, he should be a consideration.

wish he were a bit bigger and a better shooter, but his playmaking and his ability to get to the rim is great

He doesn't look that tall but definitely has a stocky build and could be one of those short but strong guards like a Lowry in a few years if he ever decided to add some weight

BJ Boston kinda reminds me of watching RJ last year. The shot isn't where it needs to get to, he's not finishing with confidence at the rim, and he's having to figure things out on an absolute mess of a team that makes it harder for him atm. But the regular flashes of his skillset & what he can grow into are there; so if he's got a good head on his shoulders & lands someplace where they'll be patient with him, I can definitely see him living up to those baby-Ingram comps down the line.

Still well behind Cade, Green, Suggs, Mobley, Kuminga, Ziaire, Moody & Bouknight on my list (at least for us*). But he's in that mix behind Keon Johnson for me...and I think I'd rather roll the dice on him than Springer if I had to pick between the younger projects in that range.

*as I'm not counting Barnes or Jalen Johnson due to the fit with Randle & Toppin.

HEZI wrote:Sharife Cooper might be that dude

He's a lot of fun to watch, but he needs to become an absolutely elite shooter to make it at his size. And that's asking a lot given where his shot is currently...though getting his outside shots to fall like they have been the past few games, certainly helps; even if they are still ugly as sin...

He looks like Kyle Anderson and from what I read about him, he can’t shoot either

Idk about his defense. Might limit him to a bench shooter but he's a sniper and I think it very much will translate. The way he moves before the shot, the counters he can do when he gets closed out and he can pass so I think he'll be fine in that regard. Probably Joe Harris level player, which we could use.
