Super exciting. Wiz are missing a lot of players but since 1) Westbrook is not playing and 2) Pelicans have been bad this season, they have a chance to win.

I liked our odds against Houston more so than in this game. New Orleans is a mess, but they do protect the paint well. We've got nobody to stretch the defense so Beal will be crashing into the lane with no spacing.

I'd really like to see how Hachimura could defend Zion. But without him, we will get to watch Zion demolish Bonga and Gil all night. It could get ugly. Maybe we will see Bell at PF, but that just makes our offensive spacing even worse.

When do these guys come off Covid protocol? It's been two weeks, and I heard 4 of the 6 were asymptomatic.

Seems like they've switched from Covid protocol to Tank protocol.

I actually am looking forward to seeing more of Bell. Hopefully we won't see him throwing the ball away after passing up a dunk. That was brutal, but he had nobody to practice against. He could easily become the best defender on the team.

The way Bonga's been playing, maybe they should re-test him.

Yeah, it will be Winston and Neto... but I think Beal is just going to go full Harden mode.
He'll go 38 / 8 / 12 in a close loss... then we'll trade him for the godfather offer... Ok, im awake now.

Wouldn’t be surprised if he played Jerome Robinson at some point guard.

God Robinson is such a turd. Beal playing next Neto, Winston, and Mathews should be the rotation.

I'd kinda like to see Beal as the starting PG. I wonder if that would get him into a mindset of trying to distribute the ball early in the game to get his teammates in a rhythm.

It doesn't really matter though. There just isn't enough offense to win the game, particularly if Neto is out. If they trot Beal out there with Robinson, Bonga, Bell and Lopez as teammates, they're just going to double and triple team him. The only guy on the roster that they can't cheat off of is Mathews.

Robinson is arguably the worst player in the NBA right now. His TS is now down to 49.3% on the season.

Almost 1500 minutes in his NBA career now, and he’s shot 37% overall.

And yet, last night he played 30 minutes. More than Mathews and Bonga, and our 2nd round draft choice did not even play...

It’s really bizarre that they aren’t playing Winston more. He should be getting 30 or so minutes right now

Well brooks is the worse coach in the nba. Basically playing the worst player in the nba Jerome Robinson.

I don't know how you could possibly say that. We haven't seen enough meaningful of minutes of Winston to have any opinion on how much he should be playing. Maybe he's the worst guy in practice and Brooks knows he'll be a disaster in an NBA game.

I'm not saying Winston shouldn't play, or that he should. I don't know. And you don't either.

I'm not saying Winston shouldn't play, or that he should. I don't know. And you don't either.

Except I do know, I’m sorry that you don’t. Winston has played a grant total of 25 minutes this season, we have no clue what he is, but he is our 2nd round pick and was a really good college player and solid prospect. Jerome Robinson has played 1500 minutes and clearly shown he is a total bust and the absolute worst player in the NBA. There is no justification for playing him at all.

This isn’t complicated stuff. You give Brooks the benefit of the doubt in every scenario and then end up wrong. He has shown that he is a terrible coach that has no idea what he is doing or why he is doing it.

Just so that we stay grounded.... we have one very good starter in Beal. Everybody else who is starting in this game is a backup, or a backup to a backup.

Seems like we are looking at about a 4-16 over the next 20 games which would put us at about 7-26 overall. Is there any reason not to blow it up? Beal would probably feel like we were doing him a favor if we shipped him outta dc.

I like that Beal for Wiseman and Wiggins deal that’s been bandied about - I’d do it in a heartbeat.

Let’s trade for some guys that can run and jump - and then draft some more guys that can run and jump.
