That’s probably because Kyrie is strong and plays through contact so fouls don’t look as bad. Meanwhile, they have players falling if they’re breathed on and Trae Young getting fouls by jumping into players.

I honestly believe it's that they don't like Kyrie and thus basically tell him to eat a dick most of the time.

The Hawks are going to be in the bonus early this quarter the way things are going.

Defense has been good. Offense is fine.

Trae is #2 in FTAs and the Hawks have the highest % of their points from free throws. Seems like their success is predicated on how favorable the refs are. I don’t think they will be as successful in the playoffs.

Another good defensive half. Kept them to 40% shooting.

Just need the refs to stop rewarding Young’s foul-baiting tactics and give us the same legitimate contact fouls they’re getting and pick up the offense.

While Mark is understandably waiting to secure a big (McGee/Drummond/Dedmon) I hope he really tries to upgrade TLC since Nash refuses to try TJ in that role.

Harden-TJ-Brown-Green-Perry is not terrible bench lineup

I’d venture to guess that TLC playing over TJ has more to do with size than skill. We’re not an excellent rebounding team and I wonder if Nash wants to keep TLC’s length on the floor. Idk...just a guess.

Yeah, maybe for size except he doesn't really rebound and isn't a plus defender because he's such a foul magnet/low IQ mistakes.

Just doesn't make a bunch of sense IMO. He's only playing when he's hitting 3's which hasn't really happened this season except for one game. (35% currently)

I’m surprised he shooting 35% from 3. It felt like he was in the 20s.

He doesn’t have to be a plus defender but I do wonder if Nash is worried about the defense picking on TJ defensively in the PnR. I don’t know if he’s more limited laterally post-knee operation.

Although, it would be nice to see TJ get a shot just so it can be confirmed that he’d have a worse overall impact on the team.
