Alex Schiffer: Steve Nash on handling refs: “I think I’m much more respectful as a coach than I was as a player. The mask helps a lot.”

Capela's impact in the middle of the 4th quarter : only 2 FGM but ATL at +14pts with him.
On the other side, Gallo has scored, but -14pts with him.
He scores but BKN is dominating when Gallo plays, I think it's the second time I see that thing, with the lineup with Gallo being a bad matchup

All the BKN starting five is dominated by ATL, except with Harris, he's one creating problem for ATL

At the end of regular period, BKN at +19 with Harris, and 4 fouls. Better have to attack him in OT

Did I miss something ? Injury ?
ATL at +19pts with Capela, and he's not playing in OT ? There's nobody to protect the rim, it's to easy for BKN

48 seconds left, 126-129, Harris fouled out

It's over, they forced a bad shot, but BKN got the rebond with 5 second left, and a foul.
Why Capela is not playing ?... hope he's not injured, but hope it's not a coach decision...

Good play from Pierce, 2pts in less than a second.
But for nothing.

Tough one but we proved we can hang with anyone.

I kinda figured they'd drop this.
Where the offseason has more buzz happens.

Waiting for the explanation of not playing with Capela. If he did got a little injury, it would be unbelievable that ATL was at +19pts with him in 30min, and finishing at -23pts without him, and that Pierce decided to not play him in the last 3min of regular time and the OT.

He entered at 8min left in 4th and 95-99, then was back on the bench with 3"30 left and 111-108 for ATL
It was clear that BKN were dominating when Capela was out, and were dominated when he was playing, and the stats confirms it, but Pierce decided to not play him again...

That was invigorating. Most encouraging loss in a long time. The baby Hawks went toe-to-toe with the greatest offensive talents in the East.

Second night of b2b, good effort. Didn't fold or back down. No moral victories but positive signs there, for sure

Yes, I agree.
The team has nothing to lower their heads about.

Solid game.
But shouldn't there be some plan to develop Okongwu? Or package him with some other guys for an upgrade? Cause the way things stand he won't see any minutes this year and he'll still have the same guys in front of him next three years or more. And pierce basically doesn't use a backup center, he just goes small when CC sits.

Hawks are trying to win games first and foremost. his time will come. He'll be developed to be the backup behind Capela.
Okongwu's development is slowed by the limited available practice sessions because of the weird season. There is no need to rush to trade him because he isn't playing, his time will come.

Cam was lit last night. While we praise Hunter we cannot forget about the guy whose jersey I bought a year and a half ago! :)

Looove the lefty drives to the hole against doo doo’s rant.

Return to Atlanta Hawks
