Would anyone really give us anything worthwhile back for Pat, Augustin or DJ Wilson? I just don't see it.

Especially with multiple years left on Pat/Augustin contracts. It's going to be pretty tough to find something useful there. Especially with our picks situation.

I keep thinking the Bulls may be an option, Satoransky for the DJ's. DJA is a cheaper option at backup PG, and they get a look at DJW.
Dealing with people who exhibit the "smartest person in the room" syndrome can be a challenge. One approach is to listen their opinion while also encouraging open-mindedness. It's important to create an environment where all voices are valued.

Looking at the Hawks, they might want to get rid of Huerter before they have to make a decision on him. Maybe they'd prefer an expiring like DJW. Although I'm not a big Bagley guy, we might be able to buy low on him as well.

Probably need to include Brook or Donte and find the right dancing partners.

MKE: Lou Williams, Nemanja Bjelica, Ivica Zubac
LAC: Brook Lopez, Pat Connaughton
SAC: DJ Wilson, Mfiondu Kabengele, Daniel Oturu, IND '25 2nd

Bucks buy-low on Lou/Bjelica as bench bucket getters, taking the downgrade from Brook to Zubac, whilst improving the books moving forward.

Clippers add an upgrade and a much better fit at center in Lopez. Bev/PG/Kawhi/Ibaka/Lopez is sexy enough for Ballmer to make the move. They declined Kab's option and Lou has not been engaged thus far.

Kings missed their opportunity to really cash in on Bjelica. He's underperformed and is nearly out of the rotation. They salvage by bringing in two young bigs in contract years, a fresh cost-controlled Oturu, and a future 2nd.

Holiday / Augustin
DiVincenzo / Lou Will / Forbes
Middleton / Craig / Merrill
Giannis / Bjelica / Nwora
Portis / Zubac / Thanasis

I wouldn’t want Lou Will at all. He’s useless in the playoffs

Generally speaking, I'm not upset about so-called "line-jumpers" for vaccines -- it's more important to me that somebody's getting the shots than whether it's the absolute most efficient usage. From a public health perspective it's not clear what the most efficient usage is. But it does say something about the line-jumper.

Can anybody behind the paywall give Alex Lasry's explanation for why a 33 year old in Wisconsin is vaccinated?

I saw his tweets this morning but there’s also an article behind a paywall?

Ah I'm seeing his tweets. This is actually fine imo. It's just ridiculous that this effort isn't better organized with business rules for what happens to distribute potentially wasted vaccines (personal position is it should be a lottery). Shouldn't be based on who you know.

I don't know what happens with these people who fluke into 1 dose, though. Do they get a 2nd dose, or do they just get back in line with a much less efficacious outcome?

This feels like the Seinfeld episode, where was a fire at the child's birthday party, and George Costanza made his way out of the apartment first.

Well, I regret calling him into question over this. I would hope that any of us would accept the vaccine under these circumstances. My frustration is with how common these circumstances still are, although obviously part of that is a function of the difficult logistics inherent to a vaccine that needs to be super cold to remain viable. And part of it is also that we've been in this **** for a year and my patience is translucently thin.

But part of it is that when this happens, the vaccines shouldn't just go to whomever's on the clinician's speed dial. That is a *process* failure, though, not a failure on the part of any of the individuals in this story.

Hammond traded Joe Alexander and Hakim Warrick for John Salmons

There's always something there if we can just find it.

A guy like Wayne Ellington would boost Bucks lineup greatly.

I could see Detroit possibly being interested in Pat or DJ

Not shocking at all that billionaires just happen to be in the right place at the right time for a vaccine

I'm sure Marc & Wes just "happened" to be somewhere with a couple extra doses as well.

The tone of his tweet tells you all you need to know for how clueless he is and how bad this looks.

Especially now that's he's trying to lay the groundwork down for a Senate run.

Meanwhile my work is begging and pleading for vaccines. Sorry citizens of the Midwest, I guess your hospitals just don't get blood/diagnostic testing if we have an outbreak among staff/phlebotomists.

I was wondering why Alex Lasry felt the need to explain the circumstances around receiving the vaccine but now I get it, an article was released about it.

Combining all those salaries together? No, which is why I both wasn't thrilled about the Augustin contract to begin with, and even less thrilled at the idea of selling low on him as he's struggled to fit in. But Pat/DJ gets you in that nice $9-10 million MLE range and every year there's plenty of teams with buyer's remorse looking to shed those kinds of contracts around the deadline. Tucker, Terrence Ross, Bjelica, Juan Hernangomez, etc.

I got vaccinated due to the exact same scenario as Alex, it was give it to anyone available or throw it out. I felt pretty guilty about it but I’ve come around to the fact that a vaccinated person is better than throwing the vaccine in the trash.

Yes, they get a 2nd dose - at least that's what happened to the people I know about who had this happen.

I'm putting this in the bucket of people just want to complain (heard people saying how its BS). Part of the logjam of distribution is prioritizing people, so people are complaining it is isn't going fast enough but yet lose there **** if a few young, healthy people getting it.

Unless it was something blatant like this guy, we are either better off 1. putting that energy into making the process better or 2. ignore it and go on with your life.

BTW I think Lonzo would be great here and I don't really care about his shooting. I wonder how Jrue feels about him.
