The average Mavs fan transition from

> Mocking Knicks fans for the trade
> Overconfidence
> Denial
> Acceptance
> Trashing KP

is truly fascinating.

Have pretty much never not admitted I was wrong except on Frank who I think should be developed, still. Again called KP iffy before the trade, go look. Didn’t like or defend Dennis. Haven’t been a Randle guy.

This is you trying to say KP is very good but not so much. I’m not confident Mavs would do it over again. Neither should you be. You’re probably not which is why you’re bringing up red herrings.

Ayton vs Wiseman tonight :o

Looking forward to this. :D

Wiseman talking a little spicy already
Read on Twitter

Ayton coming off a week where he was nominated for western conference player of the week. Wiseman coming off a career high game. Should be a good battle

Am glad Wiseman took him getting taken out of the starting lineup well. These intangibles are the things I like about him. Also heard that he calls the media guys asking him questions by their names. This attention to details will help him succeed. I think you are right though that it will take a little more time for him but am still very much positive on him.

Ayton will be looking to bounce back from the subpar game he had against OKC. Not sure how much they will be matched up with each other though as Wiseman comes off the bench.

How? We would have traded away a broken retired player for 2 first round picks, it would have been a great trade if he retires tomorrow

Actually it would be a worse trade for us if he retires tomorrow because the Mavs are better without him and they might be able to get out of his contract with some kind of disabled player exception instead of having to eat the max contract

They had to max Rapezingis out. That trade is horrible for the Mavs. They’re better with him off of the floor. Point blank period. If they hand over a high lottery pick, it’s an absolute fleecing.

Rapezingis. Classy.

This trade will never be a fleecing unless we get consecutive lottery picks.

I would consider not getting stuck with a maxed KP and just a single lottery pick a fleecing.

I kinda get the feeling that KP is a depreciating asset....like its all basically downhill from here.

From a poster:

"And don’t even get me started on Pussingis. This guy and every single fanboy of his scrub ass is delusional if they think he’s anything more than a servicable big. He’s worth exactly what Christian Wood is getting paid and not a cent more. If he would be able to stay on the court consistently that is. This pussy getting a max is a joke. I’d rather have Gobert on 50 mil a year than this pussy on 20 mil. At least you would have the defensive side of the ball fixed with him on the team."

"I don't know what's going on with KP but i'm going to sound like a NYK fan right now. He just doesn't look that smart... It's now 7 games in and he is still doing same dumb things as he was before or even last season. The only difference was, he was making some of those dumb shots and now he is bricking and can't move his feet under the rim. He was absolutely abused in Gobert/Ingles PnR last game. And when Mavs slowly started to gain momentum, he started bombing those long contested shots early in the shot clock. Makes no sense. Funny thing is, he was quite successful when he got his ass close to the basket. I don't know...."

"KP coming back from knee surgery looks stagnant, rusty as hell. He is getting pushed easier compared to last season so he cant finish his turnaround jump shots at the high post. He doesn't try to penetrate or roll after picks either. Lots of rushed, off-balance 3s as well. They are just lazy shots.
I never liked his 30-35ft 3pt shots that he started to take frequently for Mavs. It always looked kinda rushed shot and now that shot-mechanic looks even more rushed. In general, it's so lazy to take a 3pt shot, pick n pop game from that distance. I don't think there is any player that can challenge KP's shot after a pick&pop play. It's really unnecessary to have that at 30-35 ft distance with a rushed motion. I don't care if he can make it or not that is not a good shot.

I think it was a good bet for Mavs to try for KP trade+extension. However, this experiment might end up failing. FO should consider KP's injuries and on-court rehabbing performance for each year. Perhaps Mavs should re-organize to have someone other than KP to have that 2nd-star role. If you want to trade KP, you'd need to let him get his legs back and match his last February performance before trading though."

They kinda look like those Nets throwbacks and I think Sacramento has some alternates that are similar. I agree they are bad

Legit.

I'd love to break camp next season starting:

Quickley
Trent Jr.
Barrett
Randle
Robinson

With our picks, Obi, Knox, Burks*, Noel*, Frank*, and a vet PG (like Hill), coming off the bench...would be a good young team with plenty of assets to eventually consolidate into a starting lineup upgrade.

*or similar FAs

Of course I do

I give these jerseys a solid 3 out of 10.

Don't disrespect the Hornets like that btw, these Rockets look like Smurfs evolved and started playing ball.

You know what annoys me? The blue on the court doesn't match the blue of the jerseys.

Now that makes me want to eat a brick.
