Wiseman can’t get his midrange and 3-point game going at the same time. I think he still needs to further work on having a more consistent release but I think that will come.

The thing about him is that he really needs to get going offensively early in the game, like be given easy shots and see his points go up. I notice that when he gets his offensive game going that is when I see his defensive intensity pick up and he makes better decisions on defense.

Ideally that shouldn’t be the case but he is still young.

I’m not too worried about Wiseman’s defense. I saw him make some nice rotations at the rim. He needs to learn how to use his length and staying on his feet. Falling for pump fakes too much. Ayton used to do the same as a rookie.

I think Wiseman’s midrange will come in time. He needs to speed up his release
