Yeah if JBJ was a RH hitter, I’d be more excited about potentially bringing him on.

I don’t hate the idea of Almora if we’re also bringing in Bauer (or making another big move like maybe Bryant for 3rd base). In that case, just go cheap in CF for a good defender, who in all likelihood will only be a spot starter/ late inning defensive replacement anyway (assuming no DH).

If we whiff on Bauer and if the league comes to an agreement to have a universal DH, then I’d look to get a better, more expensive CF solution. I keep coming back to Lorenzo Cain. I think he’d come cheaply, he would only be a 2 year commitment, and he’s still above average in the field.

But plan A of Bauer + Almora + cheap depth options to help get through a season would wrap up one of the great off-seasons in the history of the Mets.

What a creep. How did this not get around the league before we hired him? (BTW, never wanted him, hated him as our manager, and cheered the day he got fired.) Isn't the Indians' (and Mets') PR Director or Asst. Dir. present during these press conferences and interviews to make sure everything runs smoothly?

Beltran is a model citizen compared to Calloway and Porter. Bring him back.

We signed Jordan Yamamoto for starting pitching depth yesterday. I think this was a good under the radar signing. We're waiting on Bauer. Maybe we sign Taijaun Walker or Jake Oderizi if Bauer falls through? I think we still sign a RHH center fielder whether it's Kevin Pillar, Almano, or Mariznick.

This BS with Porter, Cohen, and now Calloway needs to go away. So, yeah, we need to change the focus. Maybe all this gets Steve to spend more money?

This was always my preferred outcome because I knew a guy like springer was much riskier in terms of how he would hamstring the team on the backend of his contract.
