I lucked into the 1st pick, then got cold feet and traded down to 6 and 8 and got Killian Hayes

Think that qualifies as a large oof right now

At least there's some hope for Okongwu if he gets healthy. Maybe.

VJ Edgecombe/Jrue Holiday
Shaedon Sharpe/Cedric Coward

Damn, KAT is cursed.

Feels like he's destined to follow in the proud tradition of McDyess & Amar'e, and become a Knick right before his body breaks down.

I honestly always thought he'deventually end up here. I think he was a Knick fan growing up and its logical to think he'd want out of minny but...would he want to play for Thibs again?

Who knows if Thibs will still be around by then. If he is, that probably means that the work he put into improving his personal skills yielded real results, which could mean that it wasn't a problem...depending on just how poisonous that relationship got before they parted ways...especially if Karl matures by then & realizes that until he starts to give a f*** about playing defense, his teams will always suck at it.

12/6/1.5 in 20 mins on 50/40/60 splits.

The defense needs work but most 19 year old bigs don't come into the league with great defensive ability (see Ayton). Benching him makes sense because Looney is a better defender to start games and Wiseman can be more offensively focused until the defense comes around.

He had a really long layoff so tough to expect him to dominate the league when a lot of lottery picks are still find there way.

not many lottery picks have really stood out too much.

Ball is having a bit of a rough stretch right now.

Vassell/Williams look really steady.

Haliburton probably looks the best so far.

Haliburton looked the best against us. He’s had a up and down season as well. This draft is looking like the role player heavy draft the analyst said it was

No worries fam you know I like Ayton too. Remember I was the one who had to admit publicly that had that lone vote for Ayton when we started doing that 2018 draft poll?

Up to this point I’d still wouldn’t fire my GM for choosing Ayton over Luka as I would have understood the thought process. Ayton however for me lacks that alpha mentality that would have catapulted him into an outright star.

when melo is taking his foot off the gas you know it aint going well

He’s just much rawer than I expected lol. I think he’ll be fine long term. He just had 25 points the day you were bashing him lol

I think we just got spoiled with the likes of how KAT’s and Ayton’s stats looked in Year 1 and how they were given the minutes at once. I admit this is my fault in forgetting how guys like KG and Giannis looked in their first seasons. Not saying Wiseman will be as good as these two but I guess there are just different career trajectories for each player. Some have a steeper curve while some peak early. Also note that rookies this season are facing a much different situation.

Yeah I wish he had that alpha mentality. Recently he’s been much more aggressive (until he played Horford smh) so maybe there’s hope he turns into that guy. I know CP3 has been on him hard about dominating

I was really banking on CP3 unlocking Ayton. But I think Rubio is really the PG that is the best in unlocking bigs with offensive ability as we saw with Love, KAT and Ayton. CP3 I guess was more for the rim runners like Tyson, DAJ and Capela.

Yup I think you’re right about that. Even a lot of Suns fans wish they had Rubio instead.

Overall you need as much two-way players as possible in the playoffs no matter what position. And when you say two-way it means one that can get off or create his own shot and not just catch lobs.

Rubio has really become an under appreciated player. There is still that stigma of him not living up to the hype.

I don’t know or maybe too early to tell but getting CP3 could be one of those moves that throws an up-and-coming team’s trajectory out of whack.

Andre Drummond is the only 19 year old that was good on the glass right away (13.2rpg per 36) everyone else was just about average, per 36 he's averaging 10.1rpg while someone like AD averaged 10.2. He's just not physically ready yet, outside of that his per 36 numbers as a whole are really impressive, 21ppg/10rpg/2bpg.

If he played for just about any other team he'd be playing 30mpg and putting up 17/8 as a 19 yr old.

He looks pretty weak to me as a rebounder bro

Wiseman actually a lot better playmaker than I thought he would be.

Come to think of it I believe a creative coach would have found a way for a Mitch and Wiseman front court duo to work well. I can’t see why Wiseman shouldn’t be eventually able to do the things that Julius is doing now (or what he should keep on doing lol).
