Don’t think I’m going to partake in the PG or GT anymore. I’m appalled at the level of sexism and misogyny.

You had people come into this thread and compare us to Nazis and lob all kinds of personal insults. Now you see in the GT and PG tons of misogyny and sexism. Its sad to see all this represented in the fan base.
I just want a few trades, a high draft pick and some good ol prospect deep dives. I'm thankful we have this thread to hopefully avoid all that other nonsense.

Team TWO gets compared to Trumpers. That's crossing the line for me.

Trade Norman because whenever he gets starter minutes he's basically guaranteed to give us 20 points.

If I am understanding properly, you are proposing a some form of a trade of B.Beal for K.Lowry and a plethora of draft picks?
Oddly, this is one of the most realistic proposals that re-toolers could make to have re-builders second guess their position for this season. In my opinion, anybody trying to discuss an option to retool around Lowry by trading one of Siakim, OG, or FVV loses me right from the jump. Not only is Lowry not guaranteed past this year, but he has few seasons left to compete at a high level. Trading Lowry for a player that better aligns with the age of our core is ideal and Beal is a realistic candidate to be traded and could fit our system.
Now for the analyzing the team post-trade... FVV, Beal, Powell, OG, and Siakim are nice, but we still have nothing to compete with teams with BIG front courts. We are still missing a real alpha-player... Both Beal and Siakim are #2s at best and FVV and OG are #3 and #4... That team has nowhere near the high end talent or depth to compete with Brooklyn, LAL, or LAC... It would be in the mix with Milwaukee, Boston, Philly, Denver, Utah, but I would still put it on the lower end of those teams. Beal's contract eats into most of next year's space and we have no draft picks due in the future due to the trade... How do we improve the team going forward?
As I said in a previous post, there are various reasons for looking to retreat and rebuild by trading Powell and Lowry for future draft assets. One of those reasons is simply the window to compete over the next 2-3 years doesn't look good with the way LAL, LAC, and Brooklyn are built.

Re: Tank World Order
I dont care about what ppl think, I'd rather the raps not be in no man's land. We took so long to get any respect and this could all be gone by repeating our mistakes from the past and giving siakam and fvv the reigns to play Lowry and Demar.
Trust me, our ring literally gives us like a couple of years to regroup because well be in rhe shadows and then we come out swinging having some nice prospects and hopefully legit stars and all stars again. Right now, the pressure is on teams like the nets and Lakers and Clippers.
No one gives a **** about the raps this year while playing in Tampa. I'm sorry to break this to some ppl. I love this team so I want them to actually do the right thing and sell high while maintaining our Young pieces, meaning get something for Lowry and Powell while we can.
I dknt understand what some ppl don't get. Ok let's say you treadmill and then bounce in the first or at most 2nd round, then what? Lowry most likely leaves for nothing and you're forced to having Siakam as your best player. Oh, you wsnt to try and trade him now? Which amazing package are you thinking well get for him? Be honest, how much value does he have compared to Demar while also keeping in mind we won't have the same pieces and our best player, Lowry oncthe team if we somehow managed to get a Kawhi like deal.
What I'm trying to get at is that you're delaying the envitiable at that point. Is Siakam a good piece on a contender? Absolutely.
But we need more, and we're at the final stage of this great run. We need to realize this and move as quickly as possible. GASOL or Kawhi cannot be had while also maintaining our depth.
I've seen this sht long enough to know this, you're either okay with treadmilling or eventually ok to rebuild. I think we have the perfect opportunity to be pretty good as early as next year if we play our cards right while still maintaining our flexibility and getting a potential superstar.
I think the raps will take care of it eventually and we won't need to continue arguing about the same stuff. I dont follow any particular group nor am I gonna say I do but two is just a fun way to get through this year. I really don't give a sht tbh lol I just care about the team.

The Raptors are officially in No Mans Land.
Right now the Raptors have the 5th worst record. If they had two more wins, they would be drafting 15th. The margin is very small. The right thing for this organization is come to its senses and realize that the sooner they trade Lowry, Powell, and even Boucher- the better for the long-term. Get assets, get a top 5 pick and have a mini rebuild.
I remember down the stretch in the 2008-2009 season, this team went on a mini-run the last month, and started winning a lot of meaningless games down the stretch with Shawn Marion. I remember that year how Steph Curry mentioned a couple of times in the newspapers, how he would loved to get drafted by Toronto. To play for the team his father did, and the city he enjoyed to love. His wife had relatives here also. I and many others on RealGM at that time wanted Curry in Toronto. I never thought he would be the amazing player he turned out to be, but it shored up the guard spot on the team at that time.
The Raptors had the 4th or 5th worst record for the longest time during that year, and then suddenly this team started winning games in April. They went from 5th to 9th quickly. I remember how some anti-tankers that year said wins were good for the team culture down the stretch. The last month of that year cost the Raptors 4 draft spots. Curry gets drafted 7th overall by Golden State. This team had to settle for Derozan at 9th. That is how franchise histories can change. I do not need lectures from some of the anti-tankers and treadmill lovers about winning culture, after watching this franchise since 1996.

Your culture is only as good as the players that comprise that culture. Some are learning that the hard way right now.

I do wonder if we got Curry if he'd be as good as he is today. We weren't as elite as we've become over the last few years at developing our guys so it gives us even more reason to trust our scouting, coaching and development program which honestly excites me if we do get a top pick. This also would mean we'd basically have 2 pretty good picks. Then you work your magic and build a package for star(s) and use cap space where needed. Just our foundation right now needs help in terms of talent but I like our program.

Tanking is horrible!! But apparently having female referees is somehow worse! team mediocre in complete shambles tonight lol.
There is no way such a great team could lose without the refs helping the opposing team!!

Re: Tank World Order
I’m predicting we split these two games vs the magic.
This is like that stretch vs the hornets. These two games could help the tank tremendously or it can set us back for weeks. We’re competing against some professional tankers so every loss counts.
