That was grimly predictable, but I have to admit I expected a lot more from the players today given Liverpool's situation prior to the match. They just didn't really seem up for it, and Kane going off ended any realistic hope of getting anything from the match. Hope his injury isn't serious.

Realistically, Spurs are in need of two more key players to cement themselves as a CL team. A top quality CB and another progressive-minded midfielder to play alongside Hojbjerg and Ndombele. Despite some plaudits I don't think Winks is all that good, and unfortunately Lo Celso is made of glass. It's obvious that the route forward against Liverpool was the ball over the top into Son or Kane, given their defensive situation and the fact that they outnumbered us in midfield, but our pass accuracy was downright shocking. We might sadly need a Lloris replacement soon, too. We're still in every competition but have fallen back into the pack in the PL, and will continue to do so unless performances improve.

I only watched a few minutes of the match so can't comment on it. did see the first Kane ankle injury which looked pretty innocuous and not even a foul (that was given) more a turn of the ankle. Spurs are still well in the hunt in the Prem especially with their game in hand but the result was surprising given Pools downturn in form and José's usually good defensive setup.

Sitting good in all competitions shows what a good squad you have. If you had a Tielemans or a Maddison in your midfield you'd be looking incredible. I'm sure you must have someone similar somewhere in your squad. Perhaps you should have beaten Arsenal to Odegaard

Danish sentence is like; Jeg popper en pagne. Open a bottle of champagne and celebrate.

Thx. Was nerve wracking vs Spain, thankfully not as crazy as the quarter-final vs Egypt though.

Should be a good final, Denmark are rightfully the favorites - but Sweden have been the big surprise this World Cup.

If we play at our best, we should be a level above Sweden. Mikkel Hansen showed vs Spain, he is still the best player in the world when it matters the most.

That game against Egypt was pure madness. So many stupid mistakes by both teams.
You got lucky there, but now you guys should win it all.

Yep - very lucky indeed.

Firstly at 28-28 with 30 seconds left of the regular time. Egypt had the ball, but for some reason ended up with 8 players on the floor. Two minute suspension and handed Denmark the ball.

Then in the first extra-time, 2x5 minutes, Egypt got lucky. Denmark were up 34-33 and had the ball. Two seconds left and the refs called for passive play. Mikkel Hansen just had to lay the ball on the ground - instead he threw it across to the wing. Illegal interfering resulting in a red card and penalty-throw for Egypt after time ran out.

Then in second extra-time, neither team could score. Egypt managed to score once in the 10 minutes, Denmark couldn't score. As time ran out though Egypt decided to block a free-throw = illegal intefering again, red card and penalty-throw after time expired.

Never watched anything like that.

It made perfect sense, but there's another similar "sexual" expression that I was joking about.

I've never seen something like that, even at the level I'm playing :D

I'm English so have no interest in Handball but the French are handball crazy (well they are since they won everything for a few years) and a lot of my students play at a high level. I'll make sure to remind them that the French aren't in the finals when I see them this week.

The new generation isn't as talented as the previous one, but tbf it's very hard to follow the footsteps of Karabatic, Omeyer and co.

France dominated from 06-17. I'd still consider them a top-4 team with Denmark, Spain and Norway. Followed by Sweden, Croatia and Germany from 5-7.
Then a gap to the next tier with teams like Egypt, Hungary, Slovenia, Portugal, Russia, Poland and Iceland - if everything goes well for those teams, they might be lucky to reach a semi-final

If that's Xhaka, he gets a red.
Fernandes gets away with it, of course.
