Mo can’t be Bill Laimbeer... but, we could hire Laimbeer as coach. Hmm.

Strange that he never plays him? And they didn't pick up his option??
I still don't understand them not picking up his option. Wagner has been a consistently effective bench player, even if he can't physically match up with starting caliber centers. He is a useful rotation guy.
Eh. He doesnt defend he fouls. If you remember he got off to quick start last season but got exposed as the year went on to where he was either fouling because he's step too late on rotations or he allowed the basket b/c he was two steps too slow. I dont think he's a rotation player on a good team. I think he's also capped as a 15-minute guy b/c he has no choice but to foul due too poor foot speed. Bigs that at poor defenders just have limited utility despite whatever positives they may bring.

All true, but nevertheless, he consistently posts fantastic on/off numbers. (They were awesome last year too until he got hurt. He wasn't the same after returning from injury.)
I'm not saying he deserves $10M a year on his next contract. But I'm happy with a guy like that playing 15 minutes a night who costs less than $4M and will probably get incrementally better over time. He's basically a Kelly Olynyk tier player. Those guys can help a team, particularly if they're cheap.

Interesting quote. Makes it sound like Brooks is just forcing the ball to Beal and telling him to jack up shots.
He’s spot on though. The team hasn’t played actual basketball for the last 5-6 games.

Gotta say this whole thing is a really bizarre statement. Definitely get a sense of desperation. Think he's feeling the heat.
The more pressure he feels the more bizarre his statements get.
Brooks is feeling the heat, what a rambling incoherent mess.

LOL at Ish is a game changer. that's one way of describing him.
Looks like Brooks is as delusional about this roster as Tommy and Ted.

Who knows... they may have a deal worked out with his agent. They don't want to pay him what the option would have called for, but they'd like to re-sign him for a cheaper price?
Ok I made that up....

That's been the knock on Brooks. He's not an X's and O's coach, he is a player motivator. He does not game plan (who is the scout on twitter who worked for the WIz who said Brooks will literally have nothing on his white board before games, and is inordinately proud of the fact, disains scouting reports, where Randy Wittman would have multiple boards and was one of the best defensively prepared coaches in the game). Brooks always stalled in the playoffs because his only plan is to put the ball in the hands of The Guy.
Like Westbrook Brooks is stunting the development of players like Deni who have played in systems and found their niche. Yes the NBA is a stars league, but teams like the Spurs and Toronto have won more than they should by playing in systems that make their players better than their talent level. And in the case of the Warriors they had a mini dynasty with a synergy between stars and system.

It sounds like a statement from Jimmy Patsos.

Obviously some players show no symptoms with Covid but other have been negatively effected. So far Russell Westbrook hasn't been the same player since he got Covid dating to last season (although he did also suffer a calf injury) and same goes for Ezekiel Elliot. Here's hoping Covid is asymptomatic to the Wizards like KD/Marcus Smart or the Wizards road for being semi-competent is hurt drastically.
