Clarkson is massively important for Utah's meh overall offense for a couple years now. Can't imagine anyone getting near him for 6th man. If we're talking a big for that spot Portis has been useful for the Bucks but he's not really close.

Dragic could def win 6th man when the team mainly Jimmy stops getting hurt by Covid. He's comfortably the best player in the league coming off the bench and better than most starting guards in the league. Utah's shooting including Clarkson will cool down in the later half of the season like they always do

Boucher and Trez are both better big man options than Portis too

Absolutely zero mentions of Mikal Bridges? Insane.

Right now, Jerami Grant had a massive lead on MIP. He’s shut up all the doubters including me and raised his game 3 levels. I give less credit to Wood, because he was already doing similar things last season after the Piston’s traded away Drummond.

As for 6th man, Clarkson has a great shot. Dragic and Boucher currently aren’t playing on winning teams which hurts.

I dont get how so many people believe in the raptors, they have zero to chance to win it all.

I’m one of the few people who thought Grant could do this. It was clear he had all the variety of moves, he was one of the few Nuggets last season who would just go and make an iso play and score efficiently. In my eyes, this was just a result of upped usage. Still, hard not to see him as a favorite.

The Jazz have been a 2nd half of the season team for the past 6 years or so though

We always start terrible and build up. Could be a different story this year

Anyway back on topic, Clarkson is the heavy favorite right now for 6MOY. He's making the biggest impact off the bench out of anybody and he's putting up nearly all-star numbers. Unless he completely falls off, its his to lose

Thought Caris was a shoe in for 6th man at BKN. But a lot has happened between then and now!

Sixth man is Clarkson

Solid list, and Clarkson is running away with the award thus far. He's basically been the most reliable/consistent scorer for us this season.

Well he's obviously not in the MIP discussion, and he doesn't have a chance for 6th Man if Clarkson keeps it up.

I can't get behind rewarding a guy who was 3/4 option on a great team to now putting up numbers as the 1st option on literally the worst team in the league

So I'd say Wood is the MIP

JC has always been JC, he just found a perfect role... Quinn is a lot better than Byron though...

It should be Jaylen for Mip

Jerami and Wood improved but they were capable of this before specially Wood. Their minutes/role have just gone way up. Jerami up 10 minutes a game from last year. Wood up 12 minutes a game from last year basically playing a quarter more ball

Jaylen has actually improved his game in tangible ways everywhere. Hes actually playing LESS minutes than he did last year but his numbers and efficiency are up practically everywhere. And just watching him play, his Iq, handle and general know how have all greatly improved. The other 2 are a classic case of "these guys couldve done this the season before if they had a bigger role/more minutes". Jaylen isnt like that when Jayson missed games last season he wasnt capable of taking over the offense like hes shown this season

Guys who just signed 4yr / $115 mm contracts don't win MIP awards lol.
