There's no whispering with Doc. Only pulling the mask down yelling.

Interesting what happens when 2 guys that struggled for new teams last year get comfortable... Their teams lead their conferences. (Conley, Tobi)

Before i vote Tobi to be an allstar..

Will his salary increase and hurt our cap if he makes it?

When he plays he plays like an MVP. But can you be an MVP and not play as much as other candidates for the award ? You'd have to be a super superior MVP.

If they end up the #1 seed in the East, and continue lose 80% of the games he misses, I'd say that helps the narrative.

He'd be the 76ers most MVP by far but I really don't think that narrative plays well with the rest of the NBA. You have players like Lebron who is twice as old as JOJO playing every night (no green font). KD coming back from injury playing every night. Jokic playing in the thin air of Denver every night. All who can claim that durability is a key to being MVP.

Perhaps we are all playing checkers and Embiid is playing chess. The MVP he is chasing is finals MVP not regular season MVP. That's why it's important to get his rest on so he can make that finals push.

Yeah, i don't care about Embiid's MVP. I only care about getting him 100% healthy and in rythm for the Playoffs. That should be the one and only priority.

Hell, also this year without fans i don't even care that much about homefloor advantage. Being a top 4 seed is just fine.

Tobias being a legit 6'8 is such an asset for his ability to finish over pretty much anyone at the rim. His difficult shot making ability is quite underrated.

Is Tobi’s current play his ceiling?

Yeah, probably. Unless he starts drawing fouls all of a sudden.

Yeah he's 28. Should be more or less in his prime for the rest of his deal though.

I am not sure if his current play is even sustainable to be honest.

Probably not quite this high but he had a couple seasons straight scoring about 20 with about 48/40/83 splits and I think that's re-attainable. Might not happen but it wouldn't require anything out of the ordinary for him.

I'm really afraid of you guys thinking Tobias is more than a 3rd guy on a team that can get a ring.

You can always put a great defender on him in the playoffs, he will be locked cause of his limited athleticism.

He will need help, just like Melo who is alot like him.

Aside from the massive difference in 3 point shooting, statistically he's pretty much exactly the same guy as last year. Similar points, rebounds, assists, usg%, shot distribution... Turnover are up a bit and FTr is down a bit.

Kinda surprising given how much better he has seemed to look. Though maybe the awful series he had is weighing over my view of how he played last year.
