Exactly. He isn’t only playing with the second unit, but he’s most effective playing with them because he’s the first option when he’s playing with the bench. He will be Randle’s caddy in the first unit.

He'll score less but the team will do better if we started him

To me, that makes him more effective as a starter.

Yep, especially when it's such a deep draft class & we have an extra pick in it. Regardless of where it ends wrt the tank / playoff-push, this is the type of season I will be happy about getting to enjoy no matter what.

Don't think I've just flat-out enjoyed watching the Knicks as much as I am enjoying this team, since Amar'e & the kids got off to that nice start under D'Antoni, prior to the Melo trade.

Knicks are better off losing. They did, and I'm glad. They need a franchise player. Those are usually found in the draft - higher up. Not always, but most of the time.

Guys also need time with him so they can learn to anticipate Obi's off-ball runs. He can be very dangerous as a cutter, but it can take a little bit for players to figure out when & where to look for him...especially with how much else this team has had to figure out on the go.
