People saying IQ need to pass more? He’s taking the open shot and what the defense gives him and it’s going in at a high clip. Stop the madness.

Knick fans -IQ don’t pass enough.

BUT THE TEAM NEED SCORING ESPECIALLY THE BENCH!

RJ plays a whole lot like Kahwi.

That was my rookie high hopes comparison.

Thing with Kawhi is that he has UNREAL body control and balance. I've never seen it before. I would say his ability to control himself in motion and read the rim is maybe, personally, the most amazing thing I've ever seen. More so than anything Bron does, which is mostly being huge and having a high IQ.

But Kawhi is insane. You know who it is similar to though, MJ. MJ was more talented and elusive but in a smaller package, he also had incredible balance. No matter where MJ shot from or how his shot was stable. Kawhi is never out of control, nor was MJ. Bron is sometimes, but he's just practiced it and gotten so good, and is so big, that you don't see it.

He probably wasn’t on these dudes draft board. They hype up the players they wanted to draft, and then pick apart everyone else. That’s why the draft thread is filled with so much foolishness. I’ve never seen a group so wrong about so much in one place.

not for nothing and not to toot my own horn but i could've sworn i said this draft is so weak that the best player would be someone drafted in the 20's :)

iq is that player.

Kahwi has a low center of gravity combined with excellent coordination. It allows him to play much bigger than his actual height. I was referring earlier to how he backs down defenders in the paint to establish his pivot and then make his move inside or a step back.

I don't know what Kahwi's shoe size is, but I always get this feeling that he has massive feet and he's stomping around like Godzilla. But I think is mostly due to his body mechanics and low gravity.

RJ is just as strong as Kahwi and he plays at the same elevation which is basically grounded. Neither get off their shots by elevation alone, but by guile, strength and body control. The only time they look taller and longer is when they fully extend, particularly Kahwi.

I think of these things partly in terms of kung fu and chi. Muhammad Ali had so much chi in his jab that what some people thought was just an annoying flick used to command ring space was actually a whip that stung horribly. Kahwi is a guy with very powerful chi. I was noticing this in playoffs when I commented that he seemed to expand and contract in size at will.

So for RJ at age 20 to so closely resemble Kahwi is pretty astonishing, because it means RJ's mind is very powerful and his will is going to take him to the top of the heap. He has a good shot at being just as good as Kahwi. All the signs are there

Great players have wills that break you down. RJ that IT factor

he doesn't have an inability to guard the stretch 5s. he can easily just stay with them but then the rim is wide open and we prioritize stopping guys at the rim so he has to help. it's our scheme.

We're not giving up a pick for an old veteran getting paid more than he's worth to them. He just got a DNP-CD the last 2 games as the Pels are giving more time to younger players. His numbers are down this year.

We can give them a younger player on a cheaper contract and they will like it.
