The team in general to me looked gassed against ny abd in this game. Nance has also been really crappy since the wrist injury, they have no reason to overplay him when javale is right there and available.
Right now they look like a tank mode team again

I'd like to hope this couldn't slip under the radar like that, but hey, at least it's a theory that explains the fall off.

Or ...

JBB hasn't figured out what to do with athletic teams that cut off our driving lanes, and forcing the ball through Drummond is a two-edge sword.

We desperately need Love back and maybe even try to find a way to trade for JJ Reddick or someone else. Although we wouldn't want him to be a starter, having another person that is more than happy and capable of taking 3s would be huge for the team, maybe even have him try and mentor Windler who is a similar type of player.

What's happening with both Sexton and Garland is that they're trying to beat their guy of the dribble first, and now that the Cavs have been scouted, opposing teams are letting them into the paint where a wall of defenders are waiting for them. When a guy like Windler plays for 13 minutes and doesn't get a single attempt, that's a systemic problem. You're not doing anything to get the best three point shooters on your team looks. There's very little off the ball screening in that department. Garland and Sexton play enough minutes together that once a quarter, one of them can decoy for the other to get that guy an open look from three.

Jarret Allen isn’t winning you anything. Garland won’t show up in the playoffs. Mobley is a glorified dunk man. Mitchell has some experience but is a liability on defense. To me, the Cavs are a treadmill team.

I just hope we let Okoro guard Edwards, so, at least we can walk away from the game feeling like our rook beat their rook.

the last part is a given to happen with a young roster and a coach having to make game plans for what he thinks the other team will do well or this case not do since they dont really shoot the 3 very well( except for DLo after the 7 minute mark), but it certainly doesn't explain the majority of Cavs roster being obviously a step slow defensively the past week and completely out of rhythm as a team offensively even though some of them have found a rhythm looking for their own shot (DG) in short spurts. Sure would have nice to have an ISO dominant wing last night smh. Again an example of why they will regret shipping KPJ.
imo I am probably grabbing at straws with the covid things but their testing system doesn't account for false negatives being very common if they are utilizing the rapid tests as the norm ignoring the happy hypoxia issue that seems to be obvious to me on this roster since the Nets and Boston games
