I think we take an L on the chin here and move on. Hopefully we don’t suffer another injury during this one.
Have to beat the Pels and Pistons in the games following this one. Those are almost must wins.
Yeah, I see a lose as well. Kinda hard beating the same team three games in a row doesn't matter who the game isn't against. We've done an excellent job staying in every game this year besides the Wizards one. Another close game is all I ask for.
I do not understand why this one against the Mavs is already a lost game and the next one against the Pelicans is a "must win".
The Mavs and the Pels are basically the same team IMO. Both can be playoffs teams, but they need to get lucky with injuries to get there.
We are better than both teams in my book and we can win tonight even with Porzingis back for them. They are not the Lakers at full strength or something like that.
Tough game but we have CP3 and Ayton playing their best basketball of the season on these last few games.
Ayton has rarely ever in his career had 2 good games in a row unless it’s against Denver for whatever reason. The odds he follows up the other night’s strong performance with a similar one is to slim to none.
And like SRB4G said, beating a team 3 times is very difficult. Heck even beating the same twice back to back is extremely difficult. That’s why we almost beat Denver in the 2nd night of a back to back even without Booker. But hey anything can happen, Nets lost to the Wizards yesterday and Lakers to the Pistons the day before that. So who knows. Everyone here’s just speculating and would be of course thrilled with a win.
I disagree, the Pelicans are a good tier below the Mavs. Record wise they may be similar but that has to do with Mavs missing 5-7 rotation players due to covid in different stretches of the season. Mavs are a far more talented and superior team than the Pels.
