Well you signed up for pg that has no handle, passing skills and basketball iq. What is difference? Last time i chek Penny Hardaway,Kidd,Morant nor Dragic,Brogdon,Simmons is Bulls pg. With all his defficiencies Ball is lot better at pointguard than Coby.

I'd be shocked if AK traded for Lonzo. Even if it was a 2nd rounder. NO way he resigns w Pels.

He hasn’t “checked out”. His role under SVG has been changed from a lead ball handler to an off-ball shooting guard. It’s a bad fit.

He hasn't quit on his team, he's always had subpar body language, just his personality.

He's scoring more than he ever has, and on identical percentages. Not sure how a checked out player does that.

He is having a down year overall, but if you believe he can be a good role player, now would be the time to trade for him.

You’re right. The question I keep asking myself is if I’m willing to let him be our lead ball handler. Coby then to the bench?

I have no problem with Coby developing as a point guard off the bench. He’s made a lot of strides as a facilitator, but this process could take a few years. I see no harm in White learning from Lonzo.

Just putting it out there that I would love to add Ball for anything that is not a first round pick, Zach, Laurie, or PW. I might add Coby if I get something back, but Lonzo would have to extend (if possible).

I like Lonzo as a bull for a couple reasons...

The Balls have the greatest experience any basketball player can ave in my opinion. They have been in the public eye and playing BBall since pre-teen. They have already handled playing in front of bright lights and the moment will never be to big for them.

Reason 2: if Lonzo signs semi-long term with the bulls I believe they would have allure to signing LaMelo (the true crown jewel) and other pro’s that have Ball ties (like their teammate that was drafted by Atlanta?). Daddy Ball’s dream is for his sons to play together on NBA team. I would love it if that team is the bulls.

He's being forced to play off the ball next to Bledsoe, Zion, and Adams..it's no wonder he's having a down year.

Coby is likely not to be our pg of the future. Lonzos is unable to play off the ball. Horrific shooting percentages. This aside I think lonzo still has real potential as a starting pg in this league. Decent size, defender, rebounding, pass first play maker.

In the right environment under BD I make the trade but no first rounders etc whatsoever...

I haven't followed Lonzo's career to this point, but he's been traded a few times during his rookie contract. He's been in the league for several years now and hasn't proven to be a winning player or a difference maker. And lastly he doesn't seem to be the kind of guy who has the drive/ambition to turn it around. Someone correct me if I'm wrong about any of this.

I'd rather just sign a cheap vet PG in the offseason. Or use a draft pick on a guy who has legit PG skills, with whom Mo Cheeks and BD can groom. I don't know... really any option seems better than using an asset(s) on Lonzo.

There are a ton more "discussions" on the topic. I saw people talking about it on Facebook as well. Of course it's a rumor may be true may not. If so we should do that yesterday.

Where was a reported offer from the Pelicans? I only saw a clickbait piece.

He's only been traded once, but otherwise you're on the money. He can't shoot, and that limits his role on a hypothetical winning team to being a 2nd string defensive specialist PG; I'm not sure he would even accept that role given he's started 90% of his games so far.

There's a reason LeBron didn't care about shipping him out in the AD trade.

Probably is all click bait I said it's a rumor.

The 1st article though is a hypothetical deal and giving reasons why it should happen. I never said this was fact its rumor which is why I said "heard"

But in the article he proposes a lonzo 1st rd pick (lakers) and a pelicans 2nd rd pick for lauri

I'm down for that deal.

Lonzo was a second overall pick in 2017, viewed as elite potential. He really reminds me of a young Jason Kidd at this stage of his career. I feel for him because it seems he’s been a victim of circumstance on both the LAL and NO. He needs to be the primary ball handler/ play maker to really get his true talent.

He needs the confidence he had at ucla. Despite his shaky jumper this kid has talent.
