I'm pretty confident that Cunningham and Mobley will be very good NBA players, borderline All Star players at the least but I'm not sure if I see top 5 player in the league potential with them. Green has more question marks but with those athletic gifts, his handle and scoring mentality, the upside is enormous. People have been comparing him to Kobe, who was also pretty raw at that age, so he's very intriguing.

I see Suggs that way too. He's more polished than Green and not as athletic but he just has that "It" factor when you watch him. The type of guy who can take over games whenever he feels like it. Suggs also seems to be a natural born leader, a guy who makes others better.

Suggs has the eye of the tiger. That guy plays basketball like a deathsport. I'm not sure what the NBA comparison would be for him.

Like Marcus Smart but a more skilled player overall, more athletic.

I need to see more of him (which we will soon, thank god) but based on skillset, he's my favorite player outside of Cunningham and Suggs.
This is the strongest top 5 of a draft that I've seen in a long time, a really good tank year. Perhaps no generational talents but a lot of franchise talents at the top.

I have watched an inordinate amount of film of players for next years draft as I truly believe that the Pistons are going to get a crap pick again due to plain stupidity(coach, owner, GM, the usual suspects)so I'm watching players that could land between 1 and 14, and of all the players I've watched, Green is the one that if he develops correctly, and all his athleticism and talent comes with a killer instinct, can be a generational talent. I really believe that. Now it's not to say that the top 5 isn't great, and potential all stars abound, im just trying to identify potential generational players.

I'm not sure on the rest, nor do I feel as confident.

Crazy how talented the top of the draft is this year and we still haven't seen Green who could have potential #1 pick talent.

Top Tier
Cade/Evan
6'8 JKidd/Chauncey Billups
Or
7 foot Bill Russell/Chris Bosh
You can't go wrong with 1A/1B

New Tanking Odds Tier
Ziaire Williams - triple double shot making threat as a wing
Moses Moody - two way SG
Franz Wagner - versatile 2 way high iq

2nd Round beasts
Joel Ayayi - BEAST PG/SG HIGHLY underrated. French connection. If they get Evan at 1, get Joel Ayayi in the 2nd round.

Kessler Edwards - potential 2 way wing

Isaiah Jackson - Defensive Beast, from Pontiac, Kentucky Big. If they get Cade at 1, get Isaiah Jackson in 2nd round to backup Ike Stewart.
You need 2-way wings, 2-way shooting bigs, and you can't allow low iq players on the court. Assist/turnover ratio is crucial. Shooting point guards are icing on the cake IF they are plus defenders.
Weaver & Casey, govern yourselves accordingly!

He went scoreless in the 1st half and was getting heckled by the crowd chanting "overrated". He came out the 2nd half and dropped 20 pts interacting back a bit with the fans.

Cade’s clearly #1, but mobley is looking better and better, a Mobley-Stewart front court of the future sounds amazing...”mo beef stew”?

Really poor down the stretch. There were 3 straight possessions when he made a bad pass, got his shot blocked after losing it on the way up against a smaller player mind you and then missed an easy shot with 11 seconds left in a tie game that shouldn't have never been taken that early in the clock (they had the last shot).

He's a great player but that was an ugly stretch. I think the fans chanting "overrated" really took him out of his game, he was forcing the issue. In fairness, he was having a great half before he self destructed down the stretch. A good learning tool for him.

This is the year to take a chance and trade for another lottery pick. I just am not sure we have what it takes to get a deal done.

If only there was a fringe playoff team willing to give up their unprotected #1 to try and make a push into the playoffs.

That would be ideal. It would take more then some here would be willing to give up, but can you imagine two top tens in this draft?

I say do what you need to do.

If only there was a team like the Pistons of a few years ago, desperate to add enough to the roster to land a playoff spot. Maybe MJ and the Hornets would give up their pick :)

Man Suggs is awesome, watching him now and his motor is great on both sides of the ball.

He just knows how to play the right way and will probably have a championship
