I have the newest iPhone and even bought a screen protector and case and sure enough, the screen still shattered when I dropped it (second time the screen protectors have failed me). Apple charges some $300+ to fix it, but I'm fine with third party.

I looked into this two years ago, I think I remember that it was in the range of 150 to 200. So, definitely cheaper.

Man, you are so lucky for two reasons:

1) Andromeda was just all kinds of aggressively mediocre - if it were a stand alone game, it would've been forgotten, but as a Mass Effect, it's a disappointment.

2) How is that the only game on your backlog?! I will probably never finish all the games I have waiting for me (which probably say more about impulsive buying and pursuing every trophy than it does about anything)!

My secret is I rarely finish any of the games I play.

Just watching the stupid high gameplay here made my brain bleed.

Aw, hell, scrap this. It took me an afternoon of watching vids to get the itch.

They finally added cross-play with today's update. I managed to fire up my old PS4 and do the process. I honestly barely remember the game, I last played in June, but my save file came in at 421 hours. Firing it up now and I'm at level 274, I've finished the regular game and NG+, and I have a build that's confusing as hell. I KIND of remember what I was going for, but this game is so complicated that I'm tempted to blow it all to hell and start over anyway.

High. It's not NCAA football - they have not contracted with the NCAA, and have worked with schools directly. Sounds like it isn't even with conferences. I have a feeling schools end up getting missed.

Not to mention the gameplay, lol.

There isn't much info out there right now (which makes sense...it sounds like it's still at least 2-3 years away from the game existing), but it sounds like they have over 100 schools so far. I think they avoided the NCAA collectively because for all they know, the NCAA might not even exist a few years from now. I think they're approaching it the right way.

Madden's gameplay isn't great by any means, but it's at least decent at this point with the right sliders. It's really the game modes in Madden that are severely lacking. I would hope that NCAA will mostly just try to recreate their Dynasty and Road to Glory modes for the new game (and modernize them a bit obviously) and if they do that, I'll be extremely excited.

NCAA 14 is still a lot of fun to play, but unfortunately the disc drive on my 360 sucks at this point so I have to stand the console up in order to open the disc drive and then lay it down once I get the disc in in order to have any hope of it reading the disc lol.

Finally played through all 5 of the cp2077 endings.

Spoiler:
All Along the Watchtower while romancing Panam is my favorite. It gets rid of my least liked characters while making you feel optimistic about V's future. Where is My Mind logically makes the most sense, having Arasaka preserve your "soul" until a new host can be found. I didn't like any ending where Johnny Silverhand took control or took over V, I just didn't feel connected to Johnny throughout the game.

Spoiler:
All Along the Watchtower is definitely the best ending IMO. My favorite part of it was they didn't skip on Judy returning if you romanced her and called her before the last mission. I was playing through that ending where they were preparing to leave and was like, wait, V is just gonna leave without Judy after all that? and they pulled it off by having her show up as a surprise. Loved it.

Taking my ATOS gains and buying a new laptop.

Won't game much (maybe factorio, and other games 6+ years old). I'm just starting to do research.

Any "gotchas" I should be on the lookout for in laptop world?

Got to test out my buddy's area 51m r2 laptop, that thing is fantastic. Being a razor guy myself, I know you pay a premium for aesthetics but the area51 really is extremely nice. Next time I'm in the market for a laptop, I'm going to seriously consider one.

ANyone modding NBA 2k? I used to be huge NBA LIVE modder 15 years ago, but have nothing how NBA 2k works. I was fired from work, so I have plenty of time, I inspired to try to make FIBA mod, but not sure how easy is to edit rosters and skins in these games. I remember trying several years ago, and back then 2k was not as friendly as LIVE at all.

This will be my first top of the line gaming laptop. I'm normally mostly desktop and console for exclusives. My desktop is down a couple flights of stairs and my wife, due to a car accident, isn't walking yet so that's how I justified the laptop, heh. That and I have had to travel more often for work since the pandemic.

Makes sense (or "sense" :D ). Honestly I'll probably go all-in on my next laptop, too. Might be a couple years yet, but I got a mid-tier one to toe the line between gaming performance and portability. But all it does is sit with me on the couch. If I do go anywhere, my work computer (MBP) is what I bring along anyways. So might as well get a gaming juggernaut to make the experience from the couch better. Right?

I was unlucky enough to get my last laptop right before Apple released their new M1 versions that blow the old ones out of the water.

Haha I used a similar rational to buy my gaming laptop. My desktop and consoles were in the basement and this way I could spend time with my wife and game in the living room/bedroom.

Only downside is the MSI laptop I have is loud as **** under load.

**** Nioh 2.

The last week I've been trying to get myself up to speed on nine months of updates. I've been working towards builds to get me through the 3rd NG, by farming the 2nd NG. This was dumb. So incredibly dumb.

I got good drops in terms of smithing texts (lets you craft armor/weapons) but it became super obvious within five minutes that the best way to farm gear was to just play the 3rd NG because it drops loot like candy. Wasted days on this.

I think there are two more NG levels after this one.

I started playing Stardew Valley for the first time in a couple years this weekend. It's been wonderful. I'm not sure why I picked it up necessarily - I think I saw a new content patch came out and it may have planted a seed (pun intended :D ). It's a really nice change of pace. Work has been a train wreck for a few months now, and as much as I love PoE (and this league is amazing), it's not exactly the most relaxing activity. So taking some time to really, really zone out. Where my only trouble might be that I stay in the mines too long and only have 40% stamina the next day, lol.

I got a good shooter game for you and it is called Galaga. Respect the classics, you cowards.
