Any interest in Lonzo?
I've always had a softspot for pass first point guards, and going forward if the Pistons manage to get Mobley in the draft, having a guy that can spoonfeed him could be very helpful.
Simple trade, (going off rumors of a lonzo for oubre swap) Golden State might be getting too much value here though (Only was I could get the trade to work salary wise, I dont see NO giving up NAW or Josh Hart, and maybe we can add in Okafor to sweeten the pot (I know I know).
TLDR Detroit gets Lonzo, GSW gets Delon Wright and Jaxson Hayes, New Orleans gets Oubre and Svi.
Hayes is sort of redundant for New Orleans and they need shooting around Zion. GSW could really use a versatile player like Wright and Hayes fills a nice front court slot for them. For Detroit, Im intrigued by having a pg on our roster that can actually manage a game rather then dribble for 20 seconds and then shoot a contested 2.

So, swapping a backup playing as a starter for a starter playing like a backup, with daddy issues?

They just traded Kennard because they didn't want to sign him next year, doubtful they would trade for Lonzo to face the same decision.

No, I dont want Weaver having some dumb excuse to not draft a guy like Cade or Suggs if they're there cause hes committed to Lonzo and Hayes.
The trade is certainly worth it value wise but I dont think we need something like him as a building block

It would have to be for nothing or next to nothing.... if it just cost Rose then sure you take a flyer on him. Hope you can resign him to a reasonable deal with bird rights.

Re: Any interest in Lonzo?
They just drafted a pass first PG with a top 10 pick, why would they give up assets for another one?

This could be great for us, depending on how much he's expecting to get paid, which is probably too much, and then I'd pass on trading for him, his agent is Rich Paul, and I don't want to see another KCP situation.

I wonder if Brooklyn would trade Dinwiddie and 4 2nds for Plumlee. For them it's good that Plumlee is signed for 3 season, and he would fit well in that team.

Re: Any interest in Lonzo?
Jordan has aged better than Blake, but Plumlee is a serious upgrade. Four seconds? Why? I do have a soft spot for Dinwiddie though. I can't remember if his injury is career threatening, but when he was with the Pistons, you could see the potential.
In terms of Ball, that smells of desperation. And Weaver has no reason to be desperate right now.

Re: Any interest in Lonzo?
Yeah, we might be able to squeeze a 1st (it would be extremely late) out of the Nets for Plumlee. If needed, we could add a guy like Ellington as a sweetener

Re: Any interest in Lonzo?
This is a pretty bad trade and no, there's no interest in Lonzo. He's too timid to be a big time scorer and he's not good enough to truly be a pass first PG to warrant the touches he needs
Plus he's never fully healthy

They can't trade a 1st, that's why the 4 2nds
