He's constantly talked about as being short due to being listed at 6'3 virtually everywhere... yet he measured 6'3.25 barefoot and 6'4.75 in shoes. In the past, this would almost always get listed as 6'4 or 6'5 by teams. He's one of the few players in the league that gets listed at his actual height the way it should be lol.
Not a huge deal either way, but a minor little note when it comes to if you think he's big enough to play SG (he is). Basically same size as a D Wade or numerous other guards usually listed at 6'4/6'5.
And frankly I'm still of the mind that height doesn't matter.. Tyreke was 6'4 but scraped his knuckles on the ground when he walked (7' wingspan) and you could have played him at SF easy. Hell, he could even be a PF in today's game. I mean Byron Houston was 6'5, Barkley was 6'6, Dray is 6'6.. being able to play means being able to play.
Beal would be a fantastic addition, especially if we could get him for Oubre and assets. Imagine a team where your 5-6 man guard/SF rotation was Curry/Klay/Beal/Wiggins/Lee/Poole or Mulder.. that's pretty damn good, with Wiggins/Lee/Klay all able to share the SF minutes to boot, splashed in with a little JTA.
Looney is the conversation to have right now. Whether or not he opts in is the elephant in the room.. starting him was risky because of that fact. He's worth at least the full MLE. If he definitely opted in, I'm offering Wiseman as a core piece in a Beal offer, no hesitation. Wiseman, MIN 1st, and GS 1st 2022/2026. Keep the 2021 1st and do what you have to do to get Charles Bassey, who unfortunately might be playing his way into the top 10. If you cant get him, I'd offer our 1st to CHI for Gafford and a 2nd, see if I can get a nibble there. Find an undersized SG to play backup PG, and off we go:
Curry (34) / undersized SG (10) / Lee (4)
Beal (34) / Wiggins (14)
Klay (30) / Wiggins (12) / Lee (6)
Dray (26) / Paschall (10) / JTA (12)
Looney (18) / Gafford or Bassey (18) / Paschall (6) / Dray (6)
We could run circles around teams.. who are you going to leave open on the perimeter? Better have 3 great perimeter defenders.. and yea I put Lee @ PG because who cares who brings the ball up for the backups, not like Wanamaker's a real PG either
