Assuming the Wentz trade goes down (i'll assume Foles, Miller, and a 2nd. I say Miller because they need WRs and not Cohen becuase they have Boston Scott) this is how I hope/think the offseason will play out.

1. Wentz trade with conditions that makes his contract more cap friendly for the Bears.
2. Fuller and Hicks extended to save money.
3. Trevathan, Mack, and Quinn restructure to save money
4. Cut Massie, Graham, skrine, and Wims
5. Resign Robinson, Gibson, and other important Free Agents
6. Upgrade RT (Mike Remmers, Le'Raven Clark, Taylor Moton)
7. Add second TE (Ertzs if cut, Jordan Reed, Jared Cook, Tyler Eifert)
8. Upgrade Slot Corner (Troy Hill, Xavier Rhodes, Jason Verrett, many others)
9. Draft Jaylon Waddle in the first. Pass rush and oline in the rest of the draft

Wentz
Monty/Cohen/Patterson
Robinson/Waddle/Mooney
Kmet/Cook/Harris
Leno/Whitehair/Musitphar/Daniels/Remmers
Hicks/Goldman/Nicolas
Mack/Smith/Trevathan/Quinn
Fuller/Johnson/Hill
Jackson/Gibson

This team is better than the team that gave us Superbowl hopes

Wentz got the yips with all of his injuries and a bad O-line...He's gonna struggle in Chitown if they pull that trigger.

Didn't Wentz have all his receivers injured and a terrible line? Kind of seems like a buy low opportunity on a QB who did well and is young.

It is a buy low opportunity. The problem is that the bears might be buying high

Hey, at least we didn't trade up into the first to draft Jordan Love with MVP Rodgers already as our QB

The inital tweet (from a noname) said it was Foles, 1st + offensive player for Wentz + 2nd.

If it's MIller + that swap, I'm cool with it.

The trade value chart puts the value to swap from 20 to 37 at roughly a late 2nd, early 3rd.

plus, the bears line isn't any better and bringing in wentz makes it less likely that robinson would be retained

Its a different situation. One played his best season ever despite all the stupid FO and coaching moves and still was on a trash team. The other lost his job to a rookie. Plus, its ok when white people do it

The Bears line was good to start the year, bad in the middle when they had a rash of injuries and covid issues and then it got back on track in the last 7 games or so.

Wentz is not a statue in the pocket like Foles and I think the team knows it can lean on Montgomery a bit more now than they did to start last year.

I also don't see how they let Arob walk, they either franchise and tag him or find a way to get a deal done.

Yeah. That's why I posted it. Bears backed out?

I guess so. Maybe Pace looked around and realized nobody else wanted him. Just an odd way to put it. I still think a first rounder is high for someone who clearly wants out.

franchising him might cost more than he was even asking for before the friction started
