He is, just not when he shares the floor with Bledsoe.

I agree with some of this. I would like to see these young guys play alongside an actual SG. Instead of pairing Lonzo with another PG/CG. Get a Joe Harris, Seth Curry, Duncan Robinson, Gary Trent or so on kind of guy to play alongisde Lonzo and Ingram out on the perimeter. Bledsoe has shot the 3 very well this year, but he doesnt move off the ball nearly as well as a legit catch and shoot SG.
The part where I disagree with some is having Lonzo running the PnR and having the offense flow through him in the half court. That isnt his strength. The two man game in the half court should be Ingram and Zion. Those two have been playing very well off of each other, by far the best go to scorers on the team in the half court and both are more than willing passers.
Dont get me wrong, Im not saying to take the ball out of Lonzo's hands completely in the half court. But the focus should be on getting Ingram and Zion the ball as much as possible. Those two dont touch the ball enough right now. Their time per possession combined is only 5.9 seconds per possession. 16 players in the league have a higher individual time per possession higher than 5.9. Its actually pretty crazy to think the production those two are putting up without having the ball in their hands that much.
That is one of the reasons why I think Lonzo has great fit potential alongside Ingram and Zion. Lonzo's biggest weakness is half court creation against a set defense. While the Pels already have that taken care of between Ingram and Zion. So that is a perfect fit really there.
But I do think we would see Lonzo take a step forward in his production if he was finally placed in a lineup alongside a true off ball SG, instead of another PG/CG in the backcourt alongside of him.

You like lamelos alpha game, but lonzo has potential to be a good pg of an elite team, and still able to run the show even as 3rd option

Lonzo is not a perfect player, but he surely can be useful as a good role player, he is inconsistent yes, but still can get some good games in a row. And he is a great defender.
On the other side, Bledsoe (while shooting well) is much more of a problem, he hasn't played a lick of defense since coming here.
Get him outta here and start a proper shooting guard.

Yes if he could shoot 3.
The issue is that people still think that he could be an excellent PG at half court offense but he isn't. You put him at 3&D role and he could be one of the best in the league like a bigger size Patrick Beverley who could also pass.
Bottom line is that he needs to hit those 3. All points are moot if he couldn't.

I'd like to see lonzo and bradley beal with zion somehow. That would be terrifying. beal coming off the pindown. You send two to beal, lob zion dont send two, beals man gets sucked into the zion screen... treyball. then zion in the post with lonzo and beal doing the golden state warriors split action.... lawd. then on D zo can guard whichever guard is a bigger threat.

I don't really think the specific pairing is that important to be honest, Lonzo is just a decent role player that doesn't seem to get in the way of anyones offensive game and he gets too much focus, he seems an okay if not perfect fit.

In a sense, yes, but when people say the Clippers need a PG, they mean a player who has the IQ and can get the ball to the right places, but also one that can create in the half court, make something out of nothing when needed, save broken plays, etc. Those latter skils are exactly the areas that Lonzo is actually weak at.
In terms of him having good size defensively, being a solid enough spot up shooter, and being a better PG than other guys on the Clippers roster, yes. In terms of him actually "solving" the problem that people are talking about when they say the Clippers need a PG, he does not do that.

Why do people keep talking about Lonzo not being able to shoot? Over the last two years, he's hitting 37% of his threes on 6-7 attempts a game. That's not a sniper, but it's a decent shooter and he's improved greatly since he came in the league.

Lonzo would be great in Chicago paired with Lavine and Coby White. The Bulls need to trade for him.

Because he is a very inconsistent 37% shooter. For example, he shot 28% from 3 in the bubble. He shot 28% during the first 10 games of this season.
So he puts together these 10-15 game stretches of either being a lights out shooter, or a horrific one.
Also when his shot is off, it’s really noticeable because he really can’t do much else in the half court. So when his shot isn’t falling for 10-15 games at a time, that is 10-15 games of him being a complete nothing and negative on the offensive end.

Because he shot sub-30% for two years before that, and was shooting sub-30% this year until last week. Hard to feel good about him as a solid shooter now, especially since he’s not a consistently effective scorer in any other way.

Lonzo this season 3pt : 51/139 @ 36.7%
25-86 (first 12 games)
26-53 (last 7 games)
His main problem is lack of FTs - not even 1 attempt per game

July 4 2016, Kevin Durant declared his dependence day, dependent on the guys he couldn't beat!

If we do acquire Lonzo I would hope that he is able to fix some of our issues with pace. Lonzo can get the ball in transition quickly and even though we don’t have the most athletic team we do have shooters that could get good looks

No Zion needs a pnr pg, in this era you need to be able to score at the pg position and break the defense down lonzo cant he is a bench player.

For sure, he can help with more pace, but most of the game is still half court, and close games are primarily about your half court execution, which is what he's weak at.
With all the complaint being about what the Clippers do in close games (though not bad like people make it seem), a poor half court PG who is an above average but inconsistent outside shooter and a poor FT shooter doesn't give much confidence for helping with those issues in the playoffs.
Of course he's still better than the Clippers current PG's in some areas, so it is relative, but I wouldn't place much confidence in Lonzo's ability to cure the specific offensive complaints most people make about the Clippers PG position.

I've been a big hater of Lonzo in the past, but you name me 2 guards who are playing better defense than Lonzo this season
And for a few weeks now, he's been really assertive. And shooting 40% on 8 threes a game
Yeah, I'm definitely buying back stocks in Lonzo
