Think we have a pretty solid roster with Beasley,Edwards,Rubio,Reid,Nowell,McDaniels,Vanderbelt and need to up grade at the starting four and five and then get a solid back up PG.

Really would look into trading Towns to the Hawks for Collins & Capela,if not both one of those players plus someone like Hueter or Hunter and a pick.

I only agree with the first part in trading Dlo,rubio, Juan etc.
keep Beasley, Jaden, Ant and Nowell. If Jaden keeps showing promise of being our J. Isaac then keep Towns because they would be a great front court duo.
Imagine a young core of Ant, McDaniels, Beasley AND Suggs at pg. Wolves really need their pick this offseason.

If you aren't trying to build a real team, what are you doing? Building and stacking up potential and nothing else? I ask because if you want to keep Edwards and see him as future core, then i hope people stop begging for more point guards. It would be like if the Hawks would have drafted Tyler Herro in 2019 and had him and Trae fighting for minutes/offensive control. Might have hurt one or both of them. It's justt like drafting Edwards and trading for Rubio, it basically removes JMac from offering you cheap high level play unless players are out. It's stepping on your own toes when trying to jog forward. I think it's been good to hold Ant back from just blind starts at PG compared to what someone like Trae Young got (instant starter/20 minutes from beginning). It's been forcing him to learn more of the game around him that he didn't know yet. But I also think it's clear that one day the best use of him is as the onball team leading Point. Whether that's towards the end of this year, or late next year, or two years out yet doesn't matter but that's where he's ultimately going to be a beast for this league threatening from 3 levels because that's just who he is. Throw a Suggs into that and now both of them are going to suffer from availability to play their best roles.

I strongly disagree.
This team needs to gel. This team needs to work out its identity and core.
Once this is done then make moves.

I strongly disagree with your disagreement. I think it makes much more sense to fix the PF spot now and then spend the rest of the season building familiarity and teamwork.

1. We don't play with a traditional pf. We have been experimenting with Josh Okogie at what you would describe as a '4' but alas, there is no such thing or terminology in Gerssons vision.

2. Our system is 1-3-1. I have tried explaining it to posters on here, time and time again. Our team isn't built in a traditional sense.

3. Over 18 months we have overhauled the roster in its entirety. It's time to allow these players time to get used to each other and see what we genuinely have. Gersson will have a timeframe of what he believes is enough sample size to determine success/failure before making moves.

4. You need to see the Forrest through the trees sometimes and allow management to atleast assemble a list that fits their idealogy, allow tangible time for it to properly eveluated and then analysis success/failure.

5. If Gersson starts moving the goal posts to get wins. Then he needs to fall on his sword and Glenn needs to terminate his contract.

I do think random chopping and changing of the list for the sake of doing so is intelligent. Gersson needs to back his system, get the list he wants and try it.

I agree for the most part but I don't trust KAT ... the modern NBA is not conducive to “time” when they see a chance to ride the coattails of another

1. I don't care what term you use, you need players bigger than 6'4 guarding other teams small and power forwards.

2. We may run a 1-3-1 style, but who exactly is the one, not DLo. The 3 is great if you have 3 guys with enough size, skill, and athleticism to do it...we don't, and are foolish for continuing to push round pegs in square holes.

3. Yes, if it looks remotely close to clicking I agree. Facts are the team is too small, too unskilled, and too soft to compete. There is the problem.

4. Another expression that is fine and dandy if you don't understand the big picture, but if you get the big picture and think it's stupid, a waste of time and resources, then the issue isn't seeing the big picture, it's that the artist sucks.

5. Moving the goal posts to get wins is what people do. They make adjustments and shift philosophy when they aren't working or need tweaking. Say, shipping out DLo as he is clearly not an effective point guard. Or starting McDaniels and Vanderbilt with Kat or Naz, even though that would mean having 3 players over 6'9 playing.

I would say in the NBA you build your vision around the talent you can acquire. And for Wolves, that means around the draft and some trade you can make, and no free agency.

We have Towns. Period. You build from that. I don't care if you think 1-3-1 is better, o whatever. If you don't like it, you trade Towns for other star, but you do the same, built around him. If you can't turn your lesser but complementary talent into the talent you specifically want, you work with that. Common sense.

The Warriors didn't have that vision and then turned Steph and Klay in what they are, but they built around a vision to maximize the strenghts of their 2 best talents, and gather complementary talent around them.
He may look like an idiot and talk like an idiot but don't let that fool you. He really is an idiot.

The 1-3-1 approach only works if the team is well above average at the 3-pt line and transition to make up for the lack of size. It's become painfully obvious that the Wolves aren't able to capitalize on the supposed benefits of the system while getting killed by the weaknesses (defense and rebounding). I'd also note that as a whole the NBA seems to be moving away from small ball which leaves the Wolves behind the competitive trend, that is not a great place to be (especially when the team has never even shown that they can be good at the approach).
