Jays Vs Yankees

Not looking too good so far, down 4-0 in bottom of 7th.

You can pretty much say this one is over...

I never watched the game but a few times when i flipped to it, I saw the Jays had the bases loaded and I changed the channel to something else. When I flipped back after a minute or two I noticed the score was still the same, and the Yankees were up to bat. Typical...

Oh well, let me just say the 2007 Schedule/Results Thread is amazing and much appreciated.

Thank you whosthebosh? for the effort.

Season was basically over awhile ago, so it doesnt surprise me that there isnt as much interest around here. Also could be due to back to school time, not as much free time as the summer.

And you're welcome, took quite a bit of time to reformat from Excel.

That's the thing though with the season. With the Jays losing I would have fully expected throngs of fans to be crying and moaning over yet another disappointing season. Are the Jays a little too good for the 'poor us' type fans?

Seriously, this board has some of the better threads I have seen on RealGM. No shot at supersub who has taken his fair share of lumps recently but the Daily Paper Threads here are the best I have ever seen. Plus the results thread I already mentioned is top notch so I'm having a tough time letting this issue go.

I hope this doesn't get taken the wrong way but, there is a lot of wasted talent here that goes unnoticed because there isn't the traffic I fully expected there to be. The contributors and namely the mods have done a great job and I think should be rewarded much more for their efforts than the silence this board seems to bring.

Meh, I don't know why I'm so upset about it if nobody else seems to care but I hope everyone here continues to keep bringing it. Though I don't post here often I still lurk here semi-regularly because I'm patiently waiting for the day JP Riccardi is fired so I can finally embrace the team I loved growing up as a kid.

I think we have done our fair share of "poor us" posting from April through August that we are just tired of doing it now.

But I appreciate all the great comments about the board, maybe some higher ups will see it and decide to pay us :D

I can't speak for anyone else, but I was expecting an 82-85 win season in 2007, and they've essentially played that way all year. There really isn't much to cry about.

The MLB team is stuck in what Harry likes to call a .500 treadmill. The best prospects in the system are teenagers. The upper management (namely Ricciardi and Godfrey) have gotten more incompetent as each year passes. It's one of those "I'd be mad if I wasn't so apathetic" feelings. That's probably why no one posts.

I agree that this board has potential. Unfortunately, we can't say the same about the team.

Just saw hi lites on sportsnet and Frank came through with the winning RBI. At least it wasn't a sweep.
