So CP3, Payne, Nader, Crowder and Saric out for the Suns.
Dellavedova, Larry Nance Jr. and Kevin Love out for the Cavs.

Well that's a bummer. I wonder if we start Book/Bridges/Cam/Frank/Ayton
Or is Crowder back?
It would be weird to see Moore start, though I wouldn't mind it to see how he plays with the starters...would probably play better than with the bench guys...help our bench with Johnson and maybe Crowder there.
Not sure I want to see Book running full time point, though it's not Moore's natural position either.
Our true PG depth is hurting us....you'd think 2 deep would be fine but most teams have better depth.
We have played better with Booker on and Paul off, so there's that, but that might be a result of Book playing with the bench the final five or so minutes of the first and third against other benches.
At least it's against the Cavs and an eastern team in the case of a loss...lucky all our losses to not great teams have been to east teams, so we haven't helped the ones in the west by losing to them (I think the Pels are a pretty good team).

I'm guessing Carter gets the nod to match up with Sexland:
Booker-Carter-Bridges-Kaminsky-Ayton
Moore-Galloway-Johnson-Jones
Don't think Smith will get any burn unless we get blown out. This will be a tough one.

That would be surprising. Carter has barely played after his rough start. Paul should be able to handle Sexton...or Bridges if you want to put Paul on Garland.

Hope we blow them out so we don't have to play Booker 40 minutes on a b2b.
We would really have earned our 14-9 the hard way if we get there as I still don't think we've played 2 games where all our pieces clicked.

Blow them out??
The Cavs have 10 wins already, I would be really happy winning in OT this one.
Drummond, Jarret Allen and McGee at C...that is probably the best three man rotation at that position in the entire league. Ayton needs to stay out of foul trouble.

Didn't you see that Paul is out? You made me do a double take there.
Start Carter because bench needs offense/starting guards need defense and you keep Moore in the role he's played the last several games. Third stringer starting for an injured starter isn't that unusual.

Moore to start at PG, I would have started Jevon next to Booker.

With no CP3 chirping in Bookers ear all game long, expect Booker to go off for 35+ points on 23+ shots.

Hopefully this doesn't mean a Booker ball-hog fest.

I'm going on a limb and say Cam Johnson will have a career night. The kid might hit 7 to 8 threes tonight.

Oh yeah, not sure what I was thinking. I'd probably put Bridges on Sexton and Moore on Garland.

Yeah, that's tough, and Drummond is the best rebounder in the NBA. They really don't have a dropoff at C when someone goes out, unless McGee has to play, but he's still pretty good.

I think we need a better ballhandler than Carter. His shooting has been bad too. Moore is starting to play better and has started 190 games.

Why start Moore when the gameplan is Point Book?? It's replacing a scorer with a non-scorer.

Book playing well with easy cuts and catch and the catch and shoot 3. Offense moving the ball well. Nice offensive board and put back by Ayton too given Drummond and Allen are there.
