I'm kinda glad to see Lebron a bit more focused than he has been all season as consolation for this garbage.. Lol

I think it was smart of Frank V to get Trez and Wes some heavy burn this game... Along with getting some heavy PT for THT...

It was tough to watch most of the game but it was good experience, and we need those guys to be tuned up if we want to win it all. It was a nice practice game for them with AD out.

On another note, I saw a bandage or brace on Caruso's hand... Anyone know how long he's out. I guess I do remember hearing about that last game but I didn't realize it was serious enough for that...

Caruso jammed two fingers against Detroit and had swelling. He’s day too day .

Lakers games are hard to watch if it isn't against a top team. I think I'll only tune in for top teams and the playoffs from now on. The team clearly doesn't care about those games so why would I.

Wow. What a game and another OT. I just watched the highlights and it seemed like complete domination on some stretches by the OKC.

One thing I got, is that this season it's gonna be like this and we'll see consistent effort and game from the Lakers only by the end of the regular season/playoffs time.

When shots clank short, that tells you fatigue has set in, and therefore you must drive to the rim. Which saps energy with the pounding. Vogel must develop the bench. This was the genius of Jax. His role players. Last night, Trez and Matthews came up BIG. Without their contributions, that game ain't happenin

Lebron currently has played 862 total minutes including 200 minutes the past 5 games or 40 mins/game vs teams that would probably not be in the playoffs with 46 games to go AND THEN the playoffs! :x
They needed to outscore OKC by 8 pts in the 4th to force OT with Matthews hitting 4 of 5 3's throughout the game.
Yes, Lebron is a freak of nature but he is still an aging freak of nature and unlike Brady, he has to play good DEFENSE too.
The question is when will Vogel finally supply his reserves with enough ammunition to be efficient on offense when Lebron sits?
Ideally for me, I was hoping Lebron sits about 6-7 mins bet 1st and 2nd quarter, and bet 3rd and 4th... Vogel talks to his reserves and designs 4-6 workable set plays with a few options...
I don't care if it's a simplified version of Triangle offense or Princeton offense, or Flex offense or a UCLA cut etc etc. Yes, AD didn't play but the over reliance on Lebron is taking it's toll IMO. The wear and tear is real and cumulative.

Agreed. In the absence of practice, the only time to experiment with lineups is in actual games. Nothing beats real world hands on experience. I don't even mind taking the odd L if it means learning and growth.

LeBron's PT is almost certainly on him and his reps... He's clearly gunning for his next MVP, and I don't think anyone is going to rest him more until he thinks he has that sewed up...

What he needs though is a massive scoring outburst... If he had on 50/20 game, he could coast for a while after. I'd rather that, than a bunch of OT wins and 25/15/12
