If we can't win the lottery, this is a pretty great position to be in. Picking back-to-back with a chance to select two players out of the group of Bouknight, Moody, Ziaire, and Kispert. Then with a shot to see who drops to the 1st pick of the 2nd round. Maybe walk away with one out of the group of Giddey, Nix, Boston, Clarke, Duke, Lewis, etc.

I'm gonna continue to hope we remain competitive but miss the playoffs in the end. And hope Dallas bottoms out at some point.

they have us taking Bouknight and Ziaire which is nice

46.4% chance at a top 4 pick rn. having 2 lotto picks is a potential game changer

I think with Drose we are a solid 7th seed in the East. Time will tell.

What’s scary is that I don’t think the knicks(in particular thibs) would keep both picks. They’d try to trade them for a Bradley Beal with the quickness.

I'm hoping we get out bid for Beal and no one is left on the trade market, so we'd get to keep our picks. the players I would really want in a trade won't be available for a while (KAT, Booker, Mitchell)

if anything, last draft should show the FO how valuable having multiple 1st is: when you miss on 1 (Obi), you've still got the other (IQ)

We suck at drafting in the 8-9 range though lol.

If both picks stay at 8 and 9, I'll trade up for Cade or Jalen Suggs. Get the PG we need; Imagine a rotation with (Cade/Jalen) with Suggs at the PG position

The Thibodeau / Towns relationship isn’t going to allow that to happen. Frankly, neither of those guys are winning players you would want to consolidated meaningful resources to acquire in any case.

I don’t want to do it, just seems like the type of move they are angling for

Leon Rose represented Towns IIRC. He might tell Thibs to suck it up and play him. Like Perry likely is with Payton

Makes sense why some of y’all are the way y’all are. People create all kinds of doom and gloom situations that can possibly happen just to justify their sadness of being a Knick fan. Now we are going to trade for Dlo or KAT. “It’s something the Knicks would do”. Yet this current regime has not even once shown that they will do something like that yet.... but hey what ever works to help fuel your depression....do you.

Read on Twitter

Huge bust before he played 10 games LaMelo Ball goes #1

8. New York Knicks: Immanuel Quickley

Original pick: No. 25

The New York Knicks won't let another team get away with preventing their robbery of Immanuel Quickley, whom they originally snagged at No. 25.

He's been far more effective than teammate Obi Toppin, who no longer seems worth drafting at No. 8 with Julius Randle emerging as a potential All-Star.

Fourth among rookies in scoring and 14th in minutes per game, Quickley has been instant offense for New York. He's shot-making from deep, using his signature floater and demonstrating elusiveness off the dribble he didn't have a chance to showcase at Kentucky.

Regardless of whether he's the Knicks' long-term answer at point guard, Quickley is still an answer for a franchise that values his scoring firepower, creativity and energy.

14. Boston Celtics: Obi Toppin (Original pick: No. 8)

A slow start for Toppin in New York shouldn't deter Boston at No. 14. The Celtics would use him differently, getting him more involved in pick-and-rolls to optimize his athleticism around the basket instead of playing him as a spot-up shooter the way the Knicks have.

25. New York Knicks: Saddiq Bey (Original pick: No. 19)

Bey hasn't been efficient in Detroit, but the eye test still buys his shooting and defensive projection long term. And the Knicks can't add enough three-and-D forwards.
