I hope not :banghead:

Leon needs to talk to Thibs this team isn’t 21 and 4. This myopic view of win now over everything is going to come back and haunt them.

It also isn't something we've seen from the FO and (for now) is purely a fan creation. If our FO were really in a win-over-everything mindset we'd already have Dipo & Russ.

I dont consider either of those guys win now moves :dontknow:

He was listed at 6’5 a few months ago. Allegedly he’s at 6’6 now.

I don't think they would've helped us win too many more games, but what would you have classified those moves as other than win-now moves? They'd take the ball out of our youth's hands too much to work well as mentor-vets on a rebuilding team, and giving up assets for old guys sure wouldn't be a rebuilding move :-/

I would clasify them as stupid moves.....or to be more exact Dolan moves :nonono:

Touche, but that doesn't mean they're not also "win now" moves

Not a question of should we draft him but what do people Think of Kai Jones ? I personally think if someone unlocks his potential he easily can be one of the best players from this draft.

Really interesting the few times I've caught him, but I dunno how confident I am in him actually making good on all of his potential. Wish he was at least a sure thing defensively.

If the season ended today we'd have picks 8, 9, and 31 pre-lottery

Edit: tankathon has taking Bouknight and Ziaire

missing out on top 4 and landing those 2 would still be a great get

8 or 9 could easily slide up into the top 5 with the lottery

46.4% chance w/ both 8 and 9

(rn we're actually down to 9/10 which is 34.1% at top 4)

maybe not both high picks, but we are definitely not going into the season with 3 rookies. no way.
I hope we have just one top 5 pick. I don't care for the rest. maybe even package all 3 picks to move up a few spots if possible.

Why not? We won't be starting 3 rookies, or (probably) even playing all 3 from the jump, but what makes you think we won't? That we traded away a much less valuable pick than any of these 3 to try & address the biggest issue with this team, so that our kids could develop better over the rest of the season?

Things aren't as black & white as you are pretending they are.

Anybody else with the feeling that Boston is one of our picks regardless?

on one hand it would show a clear bias, which is bad b/c the FO should be objective

on the other hand, I do think Boston will be a better pro and Kentucky guards usually are.

he's a project IMO that will take a few years as he gets stronger but he does have a good skill-set. if we do end up w/ 2 lotto picks, there are other players I like better. w/ a mid-late 1st tho he's worth it

He's looking really good against Arkansas so far...but I'm with you. Interesting project but he's going to take a long time and there are other interesting players who I'm more interested in; whether because they don't have as far to go in their development, or because I'm more confident in them making all of the progress that they need to.

PS pretty sure Moody will be ahead of Bouknight for me until the next time I watch UConn
