Meanwhile, after the bad start, Oubre is balling.

That's one way to describe Oubre

He's finally hitting his wide open looks which is a plus, but he doesn't play a winning brand of ball. He hurts the team when he is on the floor whether the shots go in or not (far worse when "not" obviously). Just zero vision and not remotely talented enough to make up for that with his scoring aptitude. There's a reason why his BPM/VORP/RPM etc are all soundly negative. He's... not good. Granted, his RPM has skyrocketed up to 397th in the league from the mid 500's, so that's something?

Seeing now that he's never once had a positive Defensive OR offensive BPM in his career. Guess that should have been pretty telling.

You can't have lebron as goat, and then cry is he's judged to a different standard, but let Steph play 5 out with shooters on the roster like Lebron and GSW would be instantly better. Besides which, Lebron constantly cries until he gets a new set of teammates or he ends up leaving to use the resources of another franchise after lobbying his previous team to give that same supporting cast new deals.

I'm sure Curry would love it if he could forearm smash his way to open 3's the way lebron does to get into the paint.

Westbrook dragged a worse OKC team to the 4th seed, so what Curry is doing now isn't really impressive to me as a two time MVP.

If he gets home court advantage while averaging 30+ on a 30 PER I'll be impressed. WB did it and this forum loves to dump on him.

Well in his MVP year, Westbrook led OKC to 6th seed, not 4th seed. And next year, Westbrook had Paul George. Don't see how OKC had a worse team than what Warriors have now. And what about now? Curry is actually older than Westbrook. Westbrook became the worst contract in the league, while Curry is still playing at MVP level.

This, at a +0.8 Net Rating. What Westbrook did for them was very impressive (easily his best season), and he won a legitimate MVP on account of it. This poster is apparently not impressed unless Curry is playing better than an MVP season (bearing in mind he is in fact having another MVP caliber season, despite mass accounts that he would be a shell of himself this year without the offensive help). At least we know where the shifting of the goal-posts has landed in this thread.

Westbrook is younger than Curry. We should be comparing Curry's season to how Westbrook does next year to make it apples to apples.

It feels like Curry has a historically bad supporting cast. C’mon stat geeks, gimme some numbers to back that up.

Russ had home court when PG was on the team. Give curry PG and I think he would be able to accomplish 4th seed.

Although i must say 16/17 westbrook was one of the more impressive individual regular season performances I've seen. He deserves a lot of credit for that.

I don't know which goal post you are trying to move, but are you saying George, Anthony, and Adams are actually worse cast than Green, Wiggins, and Oubre now? Because, that team, not Westbrook's MVP team, made to the 4th seed.

Curry is treated differently because he treats the media, fans, team employees, and his teammates better behind the scenes. He is a genuinely good dude by all accounts who doesn't act like he is above the average Joe. Little things like these go a long way with the media. You are acting like he gets treated better for no reason.

When I worked for the Warriors, I once asked our President Bobby Rowell who some of the really great guys in the league were, and he mentioned Shaq and Ray Allen.

After that, I asked him who was a pain in the ass, and he said 95% of the rest of them.

Exactly, so many of these guys have been told how great they are since middle school, and they end up turning into selfish entitled pricks. Guys like Curry stand out because they actually treat people well even when the cameras are off.

Curry isn’t being put into conversations as the best ever nor has he ever taken as active a role in the construction of the teams around him. Sounds to me like it’s more about wanting the greatest of all time accolades for LeBron without the scrutiny that comes with it. Doesn’t really have anything to do with Curry tbh.

The whole crew flew to see KD to beg after giving up that 3-1 lead.

Its amazing that you just posted a long azz lie in defense of Curry. Im a huge lebron fan, but ive never tried to lie :noway:
