great game from Bey against the team that traded him
Imagine trading a 1st round pick for Landry Shamet

Wright certainly has exceeded my expectations. I'm getting nervous these guys are starting to come together as a team. I like them playing hard and the culture change but maybe a little too soon for tank purposes.

This is one of those games you have to chalk up to "You have to win some games somewhere along the way." No KD and Brooklyn's D is literally the worst in the NBA. It almost would have been embarrassing for the Pistons to lose this one.

I'm glad we've beaten some of the big teams this season it helps with the young guys confidence and their game...when we beat the below to average teams that's what I dont like.

Crazy how many people think Harden is elite. He is crafty at drawing fouls but he doesn't have that same team raising impact you get from guys like KD, Jokic, Lebron, Giannis, etc. I honestly think Jimmy Butler does more to help his team win than Harden.... Harden isn't top 10 IMO.
As far as the Pistons go, we just lost enough games in a row that its good to get a win for team morale. If we can keep winning one of out every 4 we'll be right where we want to be at the end of the year with a .250 winning % which should almost certainly be good enough for bottom 2 or 3 in the league.

Beat a team with 2 superstars instead of 3 is still a damn good victory!

Plumlee is what the Nets need. I would take Dinwiddie and a couple of second rounds happily.

We won against a team without their best player, put some shame on the annoying Harden and beyond-annoying Kyrie.
That's a win I can live with.

You tripping Harden missed the playoffs one time in his whole career. He carried all of those medioce Houston teams. Jokic team is one game over .500 right now Id say him and Giannis are equal

It's nice to see the team playing hard, but enough with the vets already. Bey finally got some run, but Wright at 37 , plumlee 38, blake 31.

Blake at 28 to 30 MPG and not playing back to backs is great. Also not playing in crunch time so the young guys get to learn out there when the game is on the line.
Plumlee rarely plays that many minutes because he's always seemingly in foul trouble, and I'm happy to see Grant chase MIP and an all-star appearance so always happy to see him get minutes and score buckets.
Also seeing Delon Wright as a possible long term player with us now that Rose is gone also is a win for the "young" guys since he's still just 28 years old he is the perfect age of a "vet" that you can still be excited about because he's not past his prime like Blake, Ellington & Rose.

Re: GAME 24: Nets @ Pistons 7PM
I will be ok with some wins if we keep running that closing group the Pistons used until Hayes gets back.
Plumlee (backed up by Steward)
Grant
Bey
Jackson
Wright.
Other than Grant I don't know if anyone is going to be on this team in 2 years. I enjoy watching this group (with healthy amount of Stewart) the most. And want to know if Jackson and Bey will continue to develop into long term keepers.
Doumbouya is just going to be a slow project because he's just not developing fast. They think they need to keep giving Blake minutes. I am not down on him just not high on his speed of development yet..

Such a strange board, get blown out and we've got an 8+ page game thread.
Beat the Nets whilst seeing more good things from Grant, Plumlee, Jackson, Bey and we get a 2 page game thread filled with people mad that we won, and people still looking to trade guys like Plumlee. Man people just feed off of negativity these days don't they.
I for one am not too panicked that these guys are going on a 10 game win streak and ruin the tank, the Nets defense is horrid and they were especially stinky yesterday, however I am buoyed by the play of our guys and they way they fight.
Anyway I've thoroughly enjoyed the last two games and looking forward to seeing DSJ play next game.
I think it may be time some of our box score watches actually tuned in and got around these guys.
*Also... all you Jerami Grant trade hopefuls still on the bandwagon? I hope that dude retires a Piston, he is F+&%ing legit.

Re: GAME 24: Nets @ Pistons 7PM
That's the way things go man. Being negative is easy!
Some on the board have written off Hayes after watching him play 21 minutes per in 7 games!
And that's assuming those people actually watch all 7 games he appeared in!
It's pretty obvious some can't handle a rebuild and/or believe we're doing it wrong based on their own ideas.
Said it all off-season:
Youth does not win in the NBA!
We are well positioned for a high 2021 pick who is unlikely to make us a playoff team as rookie.
So we add another Lotto pick in 2022, wave goodbye to Blake Griffin and then
Time will tell

I certainly hope so. I like all of those players the most this year with Grant. the nets game was a fun one and I am happy to see wins like this.
Its just hard to tell how much they can grow with Blake and Ellington (until recently Rose) eating up minutes that could be letting us see the Newer players develop and pushing up to their ceilings. Some people will cap out; Stanley Johnson was one of those guys perviously. I hope these players turn into real assets but I don't feel its clear how valuable they can be yet. Fingers crossed though its way more enjoyable watching a win or loss with those guys playing than too much Blake and Ellington.
