Kuminga plays a lot like Jaylen Brown. Might end up bigger and stronger as he physically matures which is scary to think about. I think he goes 2nd after Cade.

A bigger Jaylen Brown is what I saw too. But he's more advanced at similar ages, which puts his ceiling a fair bit higher.
Too bad we can't get into this stacked draft.

He did finish with 3 assists and 1 turnover. He could be good pairing (being 6'5) on the bench with Flynn for the next generation.
It probably didn't help that Jarrett Jack had the game of his life, but I was impressed with Nix. He only got 19 minutes but still shot 4/7 and had 12/3/3. He impressed me more than Green tbh
The kid is built like a house too, and seems to have defensive instincts similar to KLow and Fred. Late in the game he got called for a foul on Mannion where Nix slapped it off his leg out of bounds. You could distinctly hear that he got all ball, but I thought the refs missed it.
I think when it's all said and done he should be a lottery pick, but if he drops to us I'd be over the moon. You essentially keep your 2 point guard lineup but add size to it.
Of course it is hard to get a sense of a guy in one game and highschool tape, but do you feel Nix is better than other guards of similar size? I have guys like Suggs, Springer, Bouknight, Davion Mitchell and Josh Christopher rated higher than Nix -- all in that 6'5 range with some better at scoring than others. I don't really know what is special about Nix, so I am curious why you think he is a lottery guy.
/edit To me he looks heavy and a below the rim guard. I feel like we need someone more explosive.Spoiler:
I have guys ranked over Nix as well, specifically Suggs and Mitchell, but I'd say I have him on the same tier as Springer and above guys like Bouknight and Christopher. I think the latter two have the best scoring instincts of the bunch, but I project them as JR Smith or Nick Young types in the NBA, which might be a good thing if they play smart. But as of now I feel like Nix should still be a lottery consideration over them, and I don't feel like being a ground bound guard is a bad thing if you know what you're doing. Guys like Billups, Lowry, Andre Miller, etc all carved out all-star careers by playing the game the right way. I think Nix projects as that type of guard where he doesn't blow you away athletically or statistically, but teams led by him will always end up winning.

Those are excellent points. For sure there is a place for big heady guards and Nix looks like he is crafty and in that Billups mold.
I am getting caught up on need and to me it kills me watching other teams with quick guards getting freethrows so easily, while Toronto makes basketball look hard sometimes. Specifically, FVV, who while being one of the league's best shooters, is just painful to watch driving. Even Lowry has gotten noticeably worse this year.
If you look at teams similar to Toronto who are more about depth rather than star power, teams like Utah and Denver, they have guys like Murray and Mitchell who can create off broken plays and get freethrows. I am not sure if Nix has high level event creation ability, which is why I am on the fence with the guy. I do agree about Bouknight and Christopher being more about scoring and not offering a ton else, but when I watch Bouknight I see Jamal Murray star potential. He looks effortless moving on the court.
Obviously, with the Ignite we will get to see Nix more, but I am just not seeing him as a guy you burn a lottery or 20s pick on.

Re: The Official Cunningham vs Suggs Thread #Tank4Either
My personal big board after finally seeing the G League Ignite...
1. Cunningham
2. Kuminga
3. Suggs
4. Mobley
5. Green (looks a lot smaller than anticipated)
6. Barnes
7. Johnson
8. Christopher
The rest still up in the air about...top 2 look like cornerstones the rest could be elite 2nd options (possibly 1st options if they really push what was expected) which is a higher ceiling than anyone on our team who believe are at best 3rd options, would be our best player at the height of their potentials and treated like superstars by our franchise/fans.
Ie/ I could see Suggs being a Roy type of player, Green (more explosive so bit LaVine like too)/Christopher being a Beal type, Johnson/Barnes in a similar size and up tempo player like Simmons but better scoring and not as gifted passing. Those are excellent prospects.

Cade looks bigger than Kuminga even though they're the same height. Either would be great on this team. Unfortunate because the team is winning half our games because of guys that'll likely not be here next year (Norman and Lowry).

The Adriatic league being a lower tier European league would it be comparable with the G-League or slightly better?
2nd look at Petrusev's clips he's like a stronger Bargnani. You can see the changes from playing at Gonzaga to now.

He is looking really dominant in that league. It might be hard to pry him away from Europe. He is getting big exposure over there and he may get a big deal to stay and start there, versus coming over hear on a rookie scale deal and being a back-up.

He played 2 seasons at Gonzaga. He wants to play in the NBA. If he didn't he would've just played professionally in Europe at 18.

I was worried because he is a Serbian national. I really like the player because he is already playing professional basketball at a high level. I mentioned it before, but Mega the team he plays for is a very athletic team that gets up and down the floor like in the NBA. This is not some typical clutch and grab Euroleague team. It is a team that has produced a number of NBA players. He would be in the first round if he was doing this on Gonzaga.
One other European prospect I have been watching a lot of lately is Ariel Hukporti. He is German Togo background but he is one impressive 7 footer at the age of 18 only. The guy is a monster averaging 10 and 6 and over a block per game in Lithuanian league.
Spoiler:
He was the 2020 Basketball Without Borders MVP, so definitely a guy on Masai/Bobby's radar.

If they can get a 2nd rounder sure. Stash him for a year. Ugh he banked a 3. It's good that he is able to at least shoot 30% from 3 but sucks he shoots under 50% FTs. He looks like a better prospect than Amar Sylla. I like that he's not undersized like Garuba and Sengun. He also looks more skilled that monstrous Ibou Dianko Badji.

I've been watching him a lot too. He's raw but very interesting. He's got size and an excellent frame. He handles the ball pretty well for his size and he can shoot the three. They say he's slow on the perimeter but he looks pretty quick from what I've seen. He kind of looks like a much rawer DeAndre Ayton.
