Gonna have trouble watching the entirety of this game if we get off to another uninspired start. Playing catch up for the entire game isn't easy and it certainly isn't going to be easy against contending teams.

Let’s see if these bozos have any pride left in them. This is a game that can help some core values after debacle

Durant and Kyrie hand picked Nash though. Why are they not playing hard for him? And how do you not respect Nash, he’s a former MVP in this league, he was one of the best players in the league during his prime, he revolutionized the way offense is played in this league...his Suns teams were the blueprint for the position-less basketball we see today, including playing undersized bigs that can shoot and an emphasis on faster pace and 3pt shooting. He’s by all accounts, the man. If not him, who are they going to respect? Michael Jordan? LeBron James?

Actually nvm, Kyrie didn’t even respect LeBron either.

Dude Sabonis is going to absolutely wreck Deandre. I still remember last year when he just stole his lunch money. It was embarrassing.

This Nets team has shown to be pretty capable of beating good teams though.

The funny thing is, I don't think they're good enough for us to beat them! Like, it's crazy, but they're just bad enough that we won't decide to care, and they will dominate us before we decide our pride is at stake.

I don’t see them dogging it or not respecting Nash. I see confusion and dispirited reactions caused by their poor play.

Also, they didn’t handpick Nash. They simply didn’t object to his nomination when Marks told them that he was the leading candidate. In fact, we saw publicly how Kyrie (maybe unintentionally or unwittingly) undermined Nash when he initially talked about how he didn’t see the Nets having a single head coach.

I have to keep mentioning this, Steve Nash was NOT Durant's recommendation, and definitely not Irving's. He is Sean Marks' hire. Sean and Steve have been beat buds since Phoenix, when Nash was the star and Marks was the 15th man. Kevin was definitely OK with the hire, considering their relationship in GS. But he didn't handpick him or mandate.

Also, you can respect an HoFer as a player, and he can still be a bumbling mess of a coach.

Just like with Colin Sexton, there was contact, but it was clearly accentuated by Lamb. If I didn’t have the benefit of seeing it in slow motion, I don’t know if I’d have noticed the flop.

Just like you can respect MJ the player, but think MJ the GM is terrible.
