He sure does get to the line a lot. How is the defense though?

Bad, unfortunately.

Memphis is 6-5. I wonder how long Memphis will stick with Penny before realizing that he's not a great coach?

This is a strong junior class. I really like Quentin Grimes.

I'll try to remember what I did. I'm sure it was along the lines of +73 FT% (for guards, 70% for C), +2 STL%, +10 AST% (for guards), <.55 TS%, and probably +.2 FTr (which feels low, but Herro was included, so whatever). I'm sure there was something else along those lines, but it feels a little dated to me. I'll add my recent metric of +4 OBPM and +2 DBPM which would pretty much keep everyone on the above list intact aside from Morant, however there is a caveat: The only players I consider with a less than 2 BPM are guards with +8 OBPM (Dame Lillard, Trae Young in their final years in college). Ja had an 8.3 OBPM and misses the mark barely with 1.7 DBPM. I'll also ignore int'l prospects. And I clipped it out from my quoted original post, but I'm pretty lenient on bigs. I won't ding them for < 10 AST%, but they still need a > 2 STL%

Fill all:
Onyeka Okongwu
Devin Vassell
Tyrese Haliburton
Tyler Bey
Devon Dotson
Paul Reed
Skylar Mays
Killian Tillie
Malachi Flynn
Payton Pritchard
Mason Jones

I'm still going to wait before putting something like this together for this year's draft, but I feel pretty good so far about last year's draft. Tyler Bey, Dotson, Reed, Mays, and Tillie haven't really gotten a chance, and they might never be good, but Vassell, Haliburton, Flynn, Pritchard and Jones have played quite well. Okongwu might be tough to evaluate this year after the injury.

Maryland's Donta Scott continues to impress me. Philly kid.

6'7" 225 and can create off the dribble. Only a sophomore. I feel like this kid should be a surefire first rounder.

These are the type of dudes we gotta snatch up in the late first. Big ass dudes that can ball. Develop them off our 2nd unit and hope to strike gold with F-sized creator ala Jimmy Butler.

Bennedict Mathurin is the guy you make a promise to to lure out and draft him late 1st

Josh Giddey - 18yo 6'8'' PG putting up similar all round stats in the same league as what Lamelo did last year.
Needs to add weight and strength and continue working on his shot but has great overall BBIQ and vision , comparison would be something between Ingles and Simmons.
Guessing a late 1st rounder.

Giddey is nice but the shooting is an issue, he is def an upsidey guy

I'd zero in on 3 guys as of now for Phila, Mathurin as mentioned before, Jaden Springer and BJ Boston

Giddey's issue won't be the shooting but his sub-athleticism, not sure what he offers the 76ers current roster but he is probably NBA material. The other guys Fis mentions defo have my interest.

Giddey is quick though, not explosive or quick twitch but he is fluid, quick, decisive and 6'8, if the shooting gets there he is going to be a starter at a premium position, and versatile

Can someone explain to me why Josh Christopher's stock is so low?

I just checked tankathon and he's slated to go 33rd in their mock draft.

WTF, I don't get this at all. I think he's easily a top 3 prospect in the draft.

I've only watched a couple minutes of ASU this season but from that limited view he looked like was out there just getting his and the team looked pretty disjointed altogether.

from the stats - not making 3s, low assists and neg A:TO ratio, lots of fouls

I could see some of those mini concerns pushing him to the back of the lottery, but out of the 1st round? That seems crazy to me. Christopher has elite highschool pedigree, is built like a tank, can defend his ass off, and can create off the dribble.

Uh oh, Boston's 3pt shooting has gone up dramatically these past 4 games. I think he needed training camp more than anyone on this team.

Justice Sueing is so tantalizing. I wish he would takeover offensively on a more consistent basis.

Would Issac Humphries be a good fit for the 76ers? Would be a good backup to Embiid when Howard moves on. Currently Humphries is averaging 17.4pts, 8.8r and 4b per game in the NBL this season so far.

I have some interest in Justin Powell as a 2nd rounder.

https://www.sports-reference.com/cbb/players/justin-powell-1.html

Listed at 6'6" 205 pounds.

Shooter with a 30%+ assist rate. Looking like he can both run the offense and operate as an off-ball wing. Fantastic versatility potential.

Mathurin seems interesting.

Is he legit 6'7" or is he going to measure in at like 6'5" at the NBA level? Either way, he's reasonably tall and 195 pounds of lean muscle. Nice size for a shooting wing. Seems to have solid athleticism, too.

Seems like a mixed bag as a creator. Doesn't appear to be capable of getting to the rim off the dribble consistently. When he does create off the dribble in the mid-range, his shooting percentage is garbage. Can he grow as a creator or is he just a shooting specialist?
