Lebron forcing parity against bottom feeders to inflate his minutes / totals / and big time moments to bolster his MVP case. We mustn't let his conniving tactics prevail.

When you're such a master puppeteer you can control outcomes to a tea, so you force going to OT 3 games in a row to gain more traction, excitement and momentum for your MVP race. That intellectual approach of the MVP race is rather unseen. LeBron setting unprecedented new standards. What a time to be alive.

LOL lebron has been playing garbage teams the past 4 games and one with Shai not even playing

Jokic,Embiid,Kawhi have been playing the toughest teams but ya'll act like Lebron is a god..dude still has a stacked team without AD and still being pushed to OverTime against teams like OKC

The media and bronsexuals are trying so hard to make Lebron MVP which is sad

Whats with the Kawhi hate too? where the hell is he on the poll? dude is having a better season than lebron on Shooting/Defending and his +/- is high

Jokic and Embiid been dropping 30-40-50 point games

MVP race is this if you're not biased..People saying Jokic doesnt have the record but he just needs to do what Westbrook did and go like 45-33 and he should win for putting together a legendary season

1.Jokic
2.Embiid
3.Kawhi
4.Lebron
5.Giannis

I’m a 76ers fan and we’ve had quite a light schedule lol

I think someone is a hater of Lebron. Wasn’t his biggest fan but day by day a person like Skip is getting more and more ridiculous and Sharpe is the one using his head over emotions/bias.

Embiid/Leonard/Durant are on very short cusp of missing too many games.

Jokic doesn’t have a good team record (Same with Curry).
George has Leonard as the bigger shadow (same with Davis) and Giannis isn’t quite to his 2020 lvl of play.

About seven-eight players in my eyes (including Lillard/Doncic) are putting up MVP type numbers but there’s too many question marks around all of them.... bar Lebron. There’s some darkhorse threats but they are coming from a way back even with mvp like impact.

If he plays every game (bar misses a couple) and the Lakers are the top seed its a well deserved MVP.

Jokic won't win it with sub 60% winning%.
Right now it's between Embiid, LeBron and Kawhi, and quite frankly, it's hard to distinguish, LeBron has a slight edge due to availability.

Jokic and Bron over Embiid because -
- they make their teams better
- both can be available and contribute in clutch

Joker has the better stats & Bron has the better winning record.

I certainly have Lebron in the Top-2 or 3 guys worthy of the award thus far, but it's pretty embarrassing how so many casual media outlets are treating this like he's running away with it already. This isn't like last year where you had a guy who basically wrapped it up by January. Outside of RPM, none of the advanced box stats that traditionally associate with MVP winners (PER, WS/48, BPM, etc.) love Lebron and I have 4 players you could make strong cases for #1 with each having points in their favor (Jokic, Embiid, Lebron, Kawhi).

The advanced stats suggest that Raymone James should not be leading the MVP race as of today. Anyone putting him on top is doing so purely on name alone.

I've never heard more about advanced stats in my life before this season lol LeBron starts getting MVP talks and everyone wants to bring out the advanced stats. Very interesting for sure.

BTW I don't know if everyone is forgetting, but there has NEVER been a formula for MVP. It is always narrative driven, best record/player on the best team, eye test. This is a media award, not an advanced stat measure. It is rarely the most valuable player to a team to be honest. Good luck trying to prop up players like Kawhi who yes might meet the stats criteria, but no one cares enough about him to vote for him. It's just how it is. I don't always agree with it, but how things are headed right now, LeBron seems to be the favorite right now for the usual criteria.

Writer Ramona Shelburne has admitted to voting for the MVP award based on "narritive"

The writers will not let LeBron retire with only 4 MVPs

LeBron would probably deserve it. Lakers team looks putrid without him and his running mate AD looks completely washed.

Yeah - Jokic FIRING UP that FIERCE 23rd ranked Nuggets defense.

Against Sacramento within the past 10 days:

Jokic with FIFTY points and still TAKING THE L.

Embiid with 25/16/6 and anchoring Philly's D, holding Sac to FORTY 2nd half points in a win.

Who was more valuable - the guy who scored a ton IN A LOSS or a guy who went 25/16/6 and anchored his team's D to a win?

I know which guy was more "valuable" against the Kings. How about you?

emid is lebron's only real comp so far and he's feasting on a terrible eastern conference; the east only has 4 teams at .500 or better :nonono:

while the west has 10 teams at .500 or better

jokic (13-11), curry (13-11) and luka (12-14) DO NOT belong in any MVP conversations with those mediocre to bad team records

nothing wrong with favoring joker or bron, but the bolded is absolutely ridiculous. joel embiid by almost any reliable metric is one of the most drastic individual floor tilters in the league (and of the modern era) and i don't think people understand how skilled and dominant he is

You've seen nothing yet, next game he will force OTs until he has passed Kareem's scoring record.
