As a Raptors fan, my fave non-Raptor is Ja Morant.

He reminds me a lot of Iverson.

From what i have seen of Lamelo( and i could be wrong so tell me if i am) , but he seems to rush a lot but is able to make up for it with his ability to make such difficult passes. Ja seems more poised and able to control the game while not being as good of a passer(still very good)

Luka has been surrounded by knockdown shooters his whole career. He isn't taking over games like Cleveland Lebron. I'm getting sick of people putting disrespect on LaMelo's name. He is having one of the best rookie seasons of all time. Ja Morant is an out of control athletic freak. LaMelo Ball is a basketball savant!

If LaMelo Ball is a savant and Ja is out of control then why does Ja have a better assist/turnover ratio than LaMelo does?

Ja Morant first 25 games:
6.5 assists - 3.2 turnovers at 29.3 mpg

LaMelo Ball first 25 games:
6.2 assists - 2.5 turnovers at 26.9 mpg

You didn't say Ja Morant was "out of control" his first 25 games in the NBA. You said that he was out of control now. But right now in the present moment, Ja Morant is a more accurate passer than LaMelo Ball. So if he's out of control, what does that make LaMelo? Sloppy? Completely out of control? Turnover prone?

Doesn't sound very savant-esque to me.

They are all three very good players. LaMelo should be honered just to be mentioned in the company of the other two guys who are much more established.

The thing with LaMelo is his scoring is most efficient from beyond the 3pt line so far. That is the streakiest type of scoring so it could take a dip and I wouldn't be totally surprised. Luka and Ja are much better finishers close to the basket at this point just based on the eye test so thier scoring is going to be more consistent. LaMelo could improve in this area if he adds some strength. There is probably a bigger difference than people realize between 19 - 21 just from a body development standpoint.

If LaMelo's shotting is real I think he could have the highest ceiling becasue 3pt shooting is more valuable than inside scoring in terms of creating space for teammates. He could also just as easily drop back down into the high 20's low 30's percentage and not be nearly as valuable as the other two guys in terms of scoring.

Their situations are just different at the moment.

Ja is been ask to carry a whole team.

Lamelo has some vetern leadership in his team so he doesn't have to yet.
