Damn you GarPax

Derrick was sprightly in his Knicks debut. He looked excited to be back with Thibs, and with a team that is getting better rather than worse, as with poor Detroit.

Why do the Knicks jerseys look like the Eiffel Tower at night?
Don't the Pacers have that exact design Jersey but in their colour scheme?

Collins is the guy I want the most. He looks so smooth and fluid offensively for Atlanta. Give me him for 4/100 and Ball for 4/60, add a top 5 pick, and it’ll be one of the best offseason this team has had.

Collins is better in DBPM than every Bulls starter.

He also leads al power forwards in the league in DRPM (although that stat is much less reliable)

Cam Reddish
11 ppg, 36% FG, 26% 3pt, 1.3 ast, 1.5 tov

I assume he's a solid defender seeing the 28 MPG.

Dotson is playing in the G-League bubble right now btw. Starting in the backcourt next to...Antonio Blakeney.

If you are bringing in Collins then that means you are not retaining Lauri. Those 2 would not fit together. Too many defensive miscues would happen.

That's correct, I have no intention of retaining Lauri in my fantasy scenario. It's basically a trade of Lauri for Collins for next season. Like Collins a lot more.

Does anyone else find the lineup the Rockets can throw out there kinda interesting?

Now I know it's more name fame than (their historical) production at this point, and if they remain healthy, and if they gel are both Shaq-sized "ifs" - but IF...they are a really tough 5-man lineup:

- Wall, Dipo, E. Gordon, Tucker, Boogie

Not saying they're a contender. Just think it's an odd, and talented mix that has somehow gotten plopped together, and could be entertaining for Rockets fans.

21 points today for Max. Good for him. Meanwhile, Butler is stealthily playing better than ever. Went 27/10/10 today, after going 25/8/10 the previous game and 17/10/9 the game before.

He gets better and better each season, the only concern has always been his health. One of the main points as to why I was in favor of trading him. With how physical he plays, and how much he initiates contact, it was always going to take a toll on his body in the long run.

I miss him a hell of a lot though.
Why so serious?

Yes, that's a concern. He can play big minutes in stretches, but over an entire season, his body always seems to demand an extended rest, as something breaks down.

If you do that, 1 Collins wants the max and 2 he is a similar player to Lauri in that he is not a great defender at the 4 spot. He is a far better rebounder though.

Apples and oranges. Collins plays a lot more near the basket than Lauri, of course he'll get his hands on a few more rebounds. IMO Collins is pretty clearly a 5 in this league, a paint finisher who takes the occasional 3pt shot (only averaging 3.5 3PA's per game).

Career rbs per 36
-----------------
Collins 10.9
Lauri 8.8

Anyway, nobody's paying a player like Collins OR Lauri for rebounding these days. And most rebounding stats have become meaningless.

It's incredible how many Bulls fans don't seem to have a lot of problems with giving a guy like Collins the MAX, while also saying that Markkanen isn't worth even a lowball like $16 million per. Once again the grass is bright green on the other side. For instance, Collins has zero ability to "create his own shot", which has always been a knock against Lauri in these parts.

You're really going to get mad when Markkanen leaves and starts putting up 19/6 on 40% 3pt shooting somewhere else... oops, he's doing it for this team as well! My bad.

I sure as Hell would not give Collins the max. He and Lauri are not that far apart. It really doesn’t matter what Lauri makes if he can’t stay on the court. I think that will be the big issue for AK to decide if he is too injury prone to give a long term deal.
