If the injury is now described as subluxation/dislocation, is that in addition to the labral tear?

The subluxation is what caused the tear. That's how I understand it.

I'm concerned that the underlying cause for the dislocation won't be remedied by rehab. Unless there was some prior hip trauma, there may be ball/socket issues that would tend to recur playing basketball.

After moving out Kennard and his potentially ongoing knee issues, this kind of problem is the last thing we needed.

Isn't this what killed Isaiah Thomas' career after refusing surgery/treatment with the Celtics?

I did like it but this report really has me second-guessing it.

"In fact, the Knicks had Hayes as their top point guard on their board outside of LaMelo Ball during the draft process until they received intel before the draft that the French resident had a hip issue, according to multiple sources."

So let me get this straight?

One of the worst drafting teams in the past decade (maybe worst than the Pistons), the Knicks, knew more about our top draft pick's injury history and chose to avoid him, but picked him up?

We picked him up knowing that we havent had consistent healthy PG play since Chauncey Billups nearly 15 years ago?

I'd like to know more about this intel. Maybe our rookie GM made a decision in a vacuum during the pandemic without a combine or workout and his scouts didn't dig deep enough.

This is the first I've heard of any injury history but that information isn't as easy to find with a European player. I've seen a reference to missing time with injuries during his second pro year but only that vague statement in one article.

Man I hope this isn't gonna be some bad long term thing. I had high Hope's for this guy.

Sucks though cause I never really got to watch him play live overseas, hope I didnt just fall in love with highlights. (Same goes for Sekou)

Huh? I don't know how the author being bitter at DSJ, if he even was, would have anything to do with him embellishing Kilian Hayes' hip history.

However, the author states that Hayes had surgery, which is false, so his credibility is in question.

Pretty sure that every NBA team got the exact same medical reports for players this draft. They weren't flying prospects all over the country taking 30 different exams.
