Wish I would see more of a Timelord Theis lineup.

It's more about timing, positioning, and moving his feet for Theis. He usually gets to drivers who don't stop and pump fake him for fouls. Timelord has the leaping ability and length Theis doesn't. He can block/bother jump shots, post ups, and putback attempts better.

I agree. Robert Williams is clearly the more athletic player. Whereas Theis relies largely upon his experience and understanding. Theis, 20 years ago would probably have been too much of a tweener to play in the NBA.

Has there been any timeline hints as to when Romeo might be back? March 1st?

The Jays have had a lot of big individual games so far. But I think last night was the most they've looked like a franchise duo in a way. 19 combined assists, and combined 12/12 at the FT line. Some buckets off cuts. Played off one another.

They won't always be hot from behind the arc, but if they play with that kind of all-around game, we're going to win a lot.

Jayson Tatum is a top 10 player or very close to a top 10 player in the NBA today.

Reminder that the last six losses came either in the 2nd game of b2b or against really good teams in Utah, Suns, Lakers, and the Spurs on the road.

We're now 6-10 since Tatum got COVID. 5-10 since Kemba came back into the lineup. Also 6-10 since WandaVision premiered. This could be an alternate world Scarlet Witch created and we're just collateral damage.

Any word on Smart's injury?

Form two days ago, it sounded like it might still be a little while.

Our lack of offensive proficiency (lack of offensive system really since IT/Horford) is now being exposed (we've seen glimpses of it in the Miami series and was ultimately our downfall) as soon as the players stopped executing on the defensive end and our stars have stopped hitting their shots at a consistently high rate (which was the case earlier in the season). Tatum has been on a slump, Jaylen is no longer hitting his midrange shots at 70%+, and Kemba's had like 3 or 4 decent shooting games this season. Brad's team's calling card has always been defense. That hasn't been the case this season.

Even our bench group who's always taken pride at being able to defend ever since the days of Jerebko/KO/ET is now average at it at best while still being unable to score.

In all seriousness this is what I was worried about the most.

Like I said in another thread you have no idea how players come back from having COVID and the lasting issues they will have....

Sure the team is ass atm, but I'm more concerned with Tatum as with any player who gets COVID.

I'm of the same mind.

This may not be a popular opinion, but I can't be mad at any player this season. Myself, I've just had at least a full month of broken-sleep nights due to the pandemic, not because I fear for my health but because I fear for my family's, especially my dad. I have an office job, and work from home so no one notices when I'm a sleepless wreck, but imagine if I was an NBA player.

So true.

Jerebgoat is still only 33. Get him and Sully back and party like it's 2015*!

* or whatever year they were both on the squad that i'm too lazy to look up.
