Curious to see how McDaniels and Vernon do.

just box score watching, but looks like Carey got into early foul trouble? Seems to be fairly efficient in terms of minutes played. What's up with Riller?

EDIT: looks like Carey's coming to life here at the end.

I didn't watch the game, and we all know from the Dwight era that big stats from bigs can be deceiving. Saw Carey finished with 19/11, what wasn't good?

I saw the final 15 minutes of the game Vernon looked good on offense some nice moves in the paint and a sweet midrange stroke, coupla offensive rebounds, not the fleetest looking mover on defense and the main thing I noticed there is he's not that big, Jalen McDaniels looked taller standing next to him, (ESPN bio lists Carey 6'9) and with Vernon's weight loss, NY center Simi Shittu looked bigger I wouldn't Shittu about that sorry couldn't resist anyway if people are thinking Vernon is going to replace Zeller defending the behemoths in the league that's prolly not gonna be his game

It's a little hard based on just watching those highlights, but...

McD looked awesome. That behind the back dribble and mid range pull up at the end of the 2nd qtr was lovely. The surprise dunk he had 1/2 way though the 4th was sweet as well. He moves really, really well. The couple of blocks were legit rim protecting blocks as well. Really impressive.

I thought Vern was pretty good. He was active and pretty physical. Those two dribble drives in the 4th were really nice as well. The jump shots he hit were from long range and looked awesome. He was out of position a fair bit though.

I thought we'd see more of Riller and he'd stand out but he didn't. Maybe he is still getting his feet under him.

That DeLaurier kid was bad.

Finished with 32 and 13 with 10 offensive boards. There's the college Vern we wanted

Just recalled McD. Looked like a man among boys out there.

Too bad he's missing the game against Jaden.

Swarm played at the same time as the big boys last night - and the Swarm had a win!

Carey with another nice game (24 and 6) on efficient shooting.

Big Vern got some big Al in his game, I feel like it should be a place for this in this league

Be nice to see Carey learn to use his right hand some. I'm so right handed, so I understand. But he's cutting off half the lane without a right-handed move, or some facility thereof. And, as Wilson pointed out, his D needs a lot of work.

It looks like Vern is trying to run in steel cap boots.

Shooting looks impressive.

Kanter is still in the league for a reason. Guys like him and Vernon aren't starters on a good team, but they provide a different look for your offense coming off the bench. Having a guy that can score efficiently while your starters rest is valuable, especially if your perimeter guys aren't shooting it well.

Um, who is this guy? Apparently signed a 2 way deal with OKC and is killing it in the G league.

https://stats.gleague.nba.com/player/1629650/traditional/

Undrafted 21 year old who is 7'2", putting up 21 points, 14 boards, and 2.7 blk.

I watched him at UCLA.

He wears short shorts (like super short shorts!!) but once you get past that he was a super skinny, non-physical big.

Good to see things are coming together for him.
