No more excuses. Time for all these picks, FAs and coach to step up and get the Hawks to the playoffs. I want to see some solid Bball on both sides of the ball. If Pierce can't get these guys to play D, then find the better coach

1 Hot Take for Every NBA Team After First Week

Atlanta Hawks

The Take:
The Hawks will fly into the playoffs and soar past the play-in tournament.

It's been three games and three wins—by a total margin of 38 points—for the ATL's finest.

Trae Young is so fiery hot he's been assigned a specially designed flame-retardant uniform. (Seriously, who averages 34 points on 53.1/42.1/91.3 shooting? Sheesh.) Atlanta's offensive depth is overwhelming (eight players are averaging double figures), and the Hawks have only had one game each of Danilo Gallinari, Rajon Rondo and Clint Capela.

At this rate, forecasting an end to Atlanta's three-year playoff drought isn't hot enough. So our crystal ball goes a step further and sees the Hawks bypassing the play-in tournament by securing a top-six seed in the Eastern Conference after three straight finishes of 12th place or worse.

It's hard to complain given that our big FA acquisitions have barely played. Lack of a real offseason has really hurt Cam and Bruno.

I'm not afraid of the Bucks. Nets will be a problem. I wasn't concerned about the Sixers before the season started but i may have underrated them. The rest of the east is no better than we are if healthy.

Well this is dumb on two levels. One, this is every year but two, Rockets are also in the playoff picture. They are a game and half out of the 8th seed which is where the Hawks are.

I’m afraid Lloyd isn’t learning from his mistakes. When he does something and it gives us a negative result 19 times then it’s probably not going to work the 20th time. Comon man weren’t you tutored under Pop? He acts like the best didn’t teach him to coach and he was brought along by Mike Woody.

I know he’s learning but Lloyd won’t be with us in a couple of years, he doesn’t get some wins, couple of months.

I’d personally like to start putting him on the hot seat of coaches. He’s ours but he’s really annoying me lately.

IDK, man. We just got wrecked by Western Conference teams this month. We are extremely fortunate to be in the East where the path to the playoffs is much easier.

I know we got a couple / few Pierce fans in here. Can someone tell me what they think he brings to the table. I don't see it.

General board has a coach ranking going on right now. What are the chances Pierce is voted last? I say pretty high

How do you get a young players attention? Switch up the lineup. If I’m Lloyd, today vs the Pacers, here my lineup card.

Starting:

Pg- Skylar Mays
Sg- Goodwin
Sf- Snell
Pf- Nathan Knight
C- Capela (only starter bringing intensity AND RESULTS)

If you want to slack, we put in guys who hustle.

Gotta be Lloyd or Ryan Saunders who most likely can’t get canned because his dad was awesome.

I don’t know much about the OKC and Indy coaches but OKC is overachieving with that roster so that guy is doing great and Indy is still good and it’s that guy’s first year as well.

29. Lloyd
30. Saunders

I dunno but Lloyd is G league coaching material I’m sorry I love the guy as a person but he STINKS as a head coach.

Smells like a 7 game winning streak. We need to string some wins together to gain that young team confidence and growth. Also, I wouldn’t mind a few blowouts.

Go Hawks!

Spudstrodamus.... Saunders gets the boot, he was #30 on my list. Lloyd, win some games, I don’t want to be right again I really don’t.
