In regards to Allen? I mean he does, he has probably had 5 games already this season better than any of Wisemans games....

Ya - I’ve really enjoyed watching Allen pull down a defensive rebound and then lead the transition offence, or display any ball handling at all, and also take and make all those 3 point shots over the past 4+ seasons...

Well you certainly don't have a narrative to push lol. The guy with 3+ seasons of NBA experience is playing on a similar level to a 19 year old rookie big who hasn't played meaningful games in over a year.

I don't think your argument is making the point you think it is.

Not sure I have a narrative. I post when he has bad games and when he has good games (like last night). Did not see you running to his defense after I posted 4 pt, 5 foul in 13 mins game.

Just trying to tell the whole story.

Yeah just trying to tell the whole story and not reminisce on one play from the year. Fact is majority of his points are coming from standing in dunkers spot, which to me says more about the guys playing around him creating openings and forcing help and he is being rewarded with the play.

He certainly has had some nice plays this season, but my whole argument against him pre-draft was not if he would suck. My argument was based on I would rather have a ball dominant player when drafting top 3 like LaMelo, Edwards, or Haliburton type rather than a guy who depends on other great players to reward him with points.

Also I had him in my top 5 prospects, I was just fearful passing on a talent like LaMelo for him.

In 14 games this year Tyrese Haliburton has shot 11 free throws.

Making Miles look like a foul drawing animal with his 19 in 17 games haha

At this point I think in a redraft that LaMelo goes first and Wiseman second. Haliburton and Pat Williams might be the next two picked. ROY will probably come down to LaMelo and Hali.

CBS weekly NBA Rookie Power Ranking: "Lamelo Ball is in a class of hIs own"

Yes, it's still early, but it's still safe to say that Ball should've been drafted No. 1 overall, and it shouldn't have been particularly close. That's not a knock on Anthony Edwards or James Wiseman who are having solid rookie campaigns, but what Ball has been doing this season is ridiculous. What's even more ridiculous is he's been doing most of his damage off the bench, as it wasn't until the past two weeks that he got pushed into the starting lineup due to injuries. In the six games he's started, he's averaging over 21 points a game, six assists and five boards.

Rounding out this week's Top 10:
2 Tyrese Haliburton
3 Anthony Edwards
4 Patrick Williams
5 Desmond Bane
6 Cole Anthony
7 Saddiq Bey
8 Jae'Sean Tate
9 Kira Lewis Jr
10 Immanuel Quickley

Drafted no. 3 but best of the class. Reminds me of another guard who was drafted no. 3, and wore no. 23 his entire career.

I never thought I would ever see "A Class of their Own" headlining a piece about a Charlotte Rookie. I can't believe we got the best prospect with the third pick. I honestly believe that had we the 1st or 2nd pick we would have made the same mistake that the Warriors and Wolves did. Never been so happy to have gotten lucky in the lottery for once.

There is some legit wisdom in being glad to have picked third. For some reason the 3rd pick is almost as good as the 1st pick when it comes to draft success. There's got to be some kind of psychological factor at play to explain why the 2nd pick, on average, doesn't produce as good a player as the 3rd. I wonder if someone smarter than me has provided some insight on why that happens.

Sometimes I forget that we weren't even supposed to have the 3, the lotto gods showed us their favor in what appears to be an extremely fortuitous set of circumstances.
